so based on what i'm reading i should not buy this game? hmm okay. was so looking forward to it also. ah well another stupid git that says "hey we have here an audio game that you can play with awesome sound so you know where you're going but alas I'm an idiot and will falsely advertise just to get money." what a dick. i'm sorry. but this shit pisses me off. i got inquisitor thinking it would be fun but like some one else said couldn't finish it. and the $22.99 is well is it worth it. Does the length of the gameplay fit the price?
I believe some people have reported completing the game's story in about 3 hours, and I haven't heard much about replay value. So I suppose whether it's worth the price or not depends on how much you're willing to pay per hour of entertainment.
By the time you do the currency conversion it figures out to be around $30, and $10 per hour for an adventure with no real exploration capabilities or replay value is asking a bit much. Especially when you consider that A Hero's Call is only $20 and has plenty of exploration and replayability in it, not to mention that it takes way more than three hours to complete.
Ha yeah if everyone who plays AHC had paid $10 per hour of gameplay that the game provides, we could probably all quit our day jobs and work on game development full-time. ...which would be great.
ok I finally completed the game. and you know what? I really want to like it. the story is really good quality. the voice acting could be improved for sure, and there are a ton of audio issues and microphone pops and the like that are a little ridiculous at times, but I can deal with all that if that was the only thing wrong with the game. what I can't get behind like many have already said, is the false advertising, and I also feel that the developer should've communicated here on this forum. That's something that A hero's call did incredibly at, and I really respect them for it. this game has been out for weeks and we have heard nothing from these guys. it doesn't work like that guys, you can't just take people's money and be like, okay, I'm done. I don't have to deal with you anymore. that isn't right. it isn't ethical. the least you can do is show some respect to your buying customers. tell us something. we're working on the bugs, we're adding what we promised, heck, we don't care about you and are abandoning the game. I appreciate honesty a lot more than silence and dismissiveness. I know these devs have lives and all that, I get it. but that's really no excuse to dismiss your player base like that. take 5 seconds of your day and say, hey, we understand your issue and are doing something about it. your customers will understand, and will respect you for it.
That's my point. I'll stick to a hero's call. thanks.
Is this thing wirth buying?
@184 depends what you mean by worth buying and what you want from a game. I personally didn't like it and got a refund after playing it for about an hour. I found it rather simplistic and more of an interactive story than a game but that doesn't mean everybody will dislike it. there is a lot of work gone in to it and some of it is quite humorous. on the up side, the sound is pretty good and the storyline is kind of interesting. on the down side it is very linnier so the only mistakes you can really make are in the battles which are also a little bit too easy.
so depends aht you want. if you want a fun few hours like a good story you can get immersed in and feel like you are part of it, yes. if you like games that make you think, then you're money may be better spent elsewhere.
I'd still like to see this company make another game though with a bit more depth so I hope they don't take any of our views as being negative and decide to quit what they are doing.
Take a look at my review in the articles room, and you will hopefully find out if it's worth buying or not.
Keep in mind that the developers haven't responded on all the negative things about the game after the release. It seems like they don't care at all, which is an other reason for not buying the game.
If you like the post, then please give it a thumps up.
Feel free to contact me privately if you have something in mind. If you do so, then please send me a mail instead of using the private message on the forum, since I don't check those very often.
Happy gaming... :D
I don't get why they wouldn't want to look at this topic for feedback. wouldn't they want feedback?

I have no idea. The developer seems to have just thrown the game out there and gone awol from the looks of things.
Lol people, this totally sounds like tikon blue under a new name because they know that they majorly screwed up with their last releases, the update behaviour and not responding after the games release and backfire is all to known.
Just the fact that they haven't mentioned anything since the game was released makes me suspicious. As a developer they should be willing to at least give us some answers.
i would have at least thought that they would have read the app store reviews.
