So I thought, "It's April First, and I should make something short and hilarious."
My original plan (slap together a sidescroller in which you rescue a princess from an unlocked castle using random things like umbrellas, blankets and dirt to evade traps and enemies, only for the princess to turn out having let herself be captured so she could get into the enemy base and take it over herself) didn't work out.
So I stripped out the hilarious part and did a more complicated remake of Brian Smart's Sword game:

It still uses the keyboard and/or the mouse, and is still pretty timing-intensive.
I added directionality, including the possibility of low attacks that can injure your legs.
So it's mostly a bopIt-style game. The timings might be a little screwy (instead of the game getting so fast that you almost definitely die around 50 kills, it just gets too fast for you to counter attack. ).
But eh.
