Dude, are you trolling or what? Because, A. no developer is entitled to prvide you, or anyone else for that matter, with a release date, and B. asking, "when is it coming out? Huh? Huh? Are we there yet?" is frankly irritating, and if I were a dev, I'd probably push my release date back on purpose, just to be snarky. This message caught me while I happened to be in a bad mood to begin with, and I just don't even know what to say, because you've posted similar tripe for the past 3 or 4 months or so.
if the developer told us When the game would be released I wouldn't be in a situation like this in the first place about When the game will be released, nor What day the game will come out.
if the developer had a released date I wouldn't be waiting this long to get the game.
so will the game be canceled?
Yes, the game is canceled, only for you. You don't have any patience and don't understand the life of development. So you have not deserved it.
If you like the post, then please give it a thumps up.
Feel free to contact me privately if you have something in mind. If you do so, then please send me a mail instead of using the private message on the forum, since I don't check those very often.
Happy gaming... :D
Please do not cancel the game I will be patient this time.
Did they say anything about a cancelled game? Anything? Some of you guys are like broken records.
Bar is my name and to go bar is my aim...
Sometimes I'll go "Bad bar",
But in the end its always bar, ahem beer, ahem bar! beer bar!
Nope people just have to be patient.
Jebus Cripes nick! Be patient for the love of Bob. Seriously though, I'm with TUrtlepower on this one. Were I a dev I would seriously be tempted to push the release back on purpose just to spite you. And we haven't even had a release date. Obviously they don't want to provide one unless and until they're sure they should be able to make it. So please, for the love of Bob, quit asking!
@Nick: I need to agree with everyone else here. If there's a project that hasn't been released yet and I haven't heard an update for a while, I I'd actually give it at least a month before asking, rather than every couple of weeks. I use that time to either speculate and discuss what we know about a project, or if nothing new is being discussed, I go play something else until I hear news about a project I'm interested in.
Also, developers like Draconis used to provide info on their upcoming projects all the time, but actually stopped because of people who did the exact same thing as you, going so far as to no longer provide trailers until release day, which is why we didn't hear much about Silver Dollar or Change Reaction version 2 until they came out.
In the mainstream industry, even when a mainstream dev gives a release date it could change. I'll give an example. There's a game called Crackdown 3 coming out for the xbox soon, well it's been pushed back. Another game called REd Dead Redemption 2 which will be a massive game, also got pushed back until I think later this year.
So, I think the thing to do is to have some patience. I'm really excited about SoulCalibur 6 as a console game, but I don't go around to the namco account saying when will we get a news update, because I bet they might block me if i did that. So I just wait it out like everyone else.
Agree with everyone else here. Patience is a virtue, and it's something we all need to have.
Exactly. This is after all a new developer who by rights should be receiving the benefit of the doubt.
Hello guys, Marco here,
I want to thank all of you for the amazing support, check the following thread in the releases section!
As I said in that thread, this is great news. I'll be buying it as soon as I feel my finances will permit it. I was much impressed with the audio demos and so I've been very excited to get my grubby little paws on the actual game.
