So I installed steam, and my language got changed to something other than english, even though the english radio button was checked. How do I change the language to english?

I had this problem, had to uninstall, then reinstall. third time lucky did it. I wish I could help more, but that literally was what I did to fix it.

The method of resolving this issue, as far as I remember, is to not check any radio buttons. That's what i did when I reinstalled and it seemed to work first time, though it's tricky to get it working guaranteed.

For me I have to hit space on the radio button even though it is checked. That or I have to click on it by routing the mouse to the NVDA focus and left clicking.

Rather than reinstalling Steam, change the desktop Steam shortcut's path to add -language English. Once you fire it up, it'll be switched back to English. You can then safely remove the amendment to the shortcut.
