hay,
is there any way to batch coppie registry keys to make the anivercery update voices available to sapi (richard, linda and sean). there's already a registry tweak out there for the other voices, but the 3 voices I just mentioned are not accounted for. Doing the keys 1 by 1 and using notepad to eddit it are tedious and dangerous (one false move and you're computer's fried), so it would be nice if a batch coppie feature was available.

The only batch copy I know of was part of a file manager I used to use, I treated the registry as if it was a file system with folders and files. Very powerful if you knew what you were doing.

Have never seen anything even remotely similar anywhere else.

does anyone know what the file manager was called?

Yes, it is called Altap Salamander, I didn't mention the name in my previous message because it has accessibility issues.

Before I lost my vision it was by far the best file manager I could find, but had to switch to Windows Explorer because screen readers just showed it as a blank screen.

If you want to try it: https://www.altap.cz/

I tried it and you're right, the accessibility is shit.

I think I found the problem, but since I had gotten used to Windows Explorer, I didn't bother to go back to this file manager to try it.

The problem is the colors used in the list of files in the two panels. Apparently screen readers ignore text in those colors. To fix the problem get some sighted help and change the panel colors to different variations of black and white. For example, standard would be black on white, current file white on black, file selected for multi file operations try something like grey on white. That last one will require some experimenting.

Good luck if you decide to try it. Since this is only a educated guess, no guarantees.

do you think it would be possible for you to send me a config file with these settings?

I doubt it, sorry. I haven't used it since I started using JAWS in late 2013. They do have a user forum though, you could ask there.

Talk about raising from the dead, but I found a registry editor that has cut, copy, and paste, among other features and I remembered this thread, it just might be what you're looking for. I have not tried it yet myself so I don't know how accessible it is, but here it is.

I'ts called RegCool and can be found at https://kurtzimmermann.com/, and I believe that it is free, at least there is no purchase information on the site.
