Does anyone know where I can get the audio described television show of ASOIAF? Well ... I guess it's pretty standalone these days. I heard the three first seasons but then I lost my drug dealer tongue
I need to revisit the show again. My youtube front page is full of GoT theme song covers! ROFL

Hi.
Did you try the movie vault? I don't know what this show is but I'm guessing they probably have it.

I suppose that ASOIAF means something? Assuming that everyone is going to know what your abreviations mean is a good way to insure that you'll get meaningful answers instead of "Huh?" like this one.

For example, if I could figure out what that abbreviation meant, I'd have looked for it for you and posted links to it if I found it.

Lol?
I thought ASOIAF was as a common abreviation as lol these days.

Well, I'm shocked ...
GoT=Game of Thrones
ASOIAF=A song of ice and fire

Yeah, I guess I'm slow because it took me several hours to figure those out. (frowns)

So far Game of Thrones has been a good series, however I'm really disappointed with George Martin because it appears as though he has abandoned finishing the Song of Ice and Fire book series, which I consider to be far superior to the Game of Thrones TV series.

Anyway, the Blind Mice Movie Vault has all seven seasons, here they are:

Hi,
What do you mean by user verification, what's happening? I am now a bit confused.

2018-02-17 05:10:52

Hi.
@LordLondon, my computer pronounced it like the type of facial hair that people have lol! No, I have never seen either of those abbreviations before. But yes all seven seasons are there like it's shown in the previous post.

@Orco, I like the song of ice and fire books too. I've never been sure if Martin has abandoned the series or not. If he is going to finish the series he's taking a long time, I don't believe fantasy novels should take ten or more years to write. I think the last two books could be good without all the time wasting. For some reason he is more concerned with editing story collections and writing scripts for the TV show. Who is your favorite character in the books? Mine is Arya.
While your waiting, you might enjoy the novels of Brent Weeks,  Joe Abercrombie, and Anthony Ryan. The books they write are similar to song of ice and fire, without being exactly the same stories. For Anthony Ryan you should read the raven's shadow trilogy then draconis memora. Joe Abercrombie's books all take place in the same world, so you should read the first trilogy then there are some stand-alone novels in the series. For Brent Weeks the night angel trilogy then the lightbringer series, because the two series of books have connections to each other. Enjoy!
Hth.

Favourite character, that's a really hard pick honestly. I think my choice has to be Tyrion - or at least back in the good 'ol days where he was a cockish little dwarf and before he ended up in this mess. Jaime also comes to mind, I never really liked the book-jaime but the actor does a really good job for him. And Aria of course. She's the only one remaining who kicks a lot of ass.
Brans chapters are nothing but boring, at least in book 5 where I stopped reading. And Deni is nothing but dragging out endlessly, stuck in the same f*cking city for the entire series ... almost.
If there was a faster character progression I could see myself taking a like to Sansa Stark, after she learns the rules of "the game" and starts playing it as well.
I also liked Ned, too bad he had to get his head cut off.
The actor who plays Igret is rather attractive ... lol!
Hmm, let's see if I missed any characters, it's honestly been over 2 years since I last read or watched  any GoT related things.

Hi,
I can only speak for the show as I haven't read the books yet, but I like Tyrion and Aria.
I am looking forward to the final season in 2019, quite a long time to wait, but there we go. Let's hope it's a cool ending.

Oh! I believe that LordLundin may have just encountered one of those prove you're a human screens that used to ocasionally pop up here. I haven't seen one of those in quite a while.

My favorite character is Aria Stark, and my second favorite is Sansa Stark now that she is beginning to wise up and not be so royalty struck by the Lancasters.

When the series started I thought it was great because back then the only real fantasy aspect it had were Dinarris's dragons, since I'm a fan of dragons I was willing to accept them. But as the series progressed, more fantasy was added like Neselanta, the undead, and this thing with Bran, it is becoming less and less believeable and I find myself losing interest.

Fantasy is my favorite genre to read, but I find that if the fantasy aspects of the story are so numerous that they tend to over power the rest of the story, I will quickly lose interest, I want the stories I read to be mostly believeable, and too much fantasy destroys that.
