Hi
has anyone used pages on a Mac to add rows and columns to a table? I'm trying to add more rows and columns to my table and I can't figure out how.

I'm also not sure how to do this, do tables even work with pages? I tried to use it with a table and it froze, I mostly use text edit or IText express. Tables don't work with voiceover, but i'm not sure about IText express. Give that one a try if you haven't already, it seems easier to use than pages.

Hi,

It's depend on where you want to add the rows/columns. If you want to add the row before the row that you're currently on, choose, Format>Table>Add row below. Same goes for the columns.
Hope this helps.

yes, IText express has tables, but whether they're accessible with voiceover or not I do not know, I'll give that a try and find out as well.

Hey all, as usual with Mac, there's a much easier way to do this. Press Option + left/right arrow to add a column before or after the column you're in. Press Option + up/down arrow to add a row above or below the row you're working in. Hope that helps!

To answer post 6, to get to the format menu, you need to bring up the menu bar, and Vo + right arrow until you get to the format menu, and Vo + down arrow to open the menu options.

@Joseph, thanks for the keyboard shortcut. Didn't know it until you've mentioned it. big_smile
