Hi all,
I'm coming back to swamp after some time away. I'm just wondering if there's any offline campaigns I.E. a collection ETC?
Thanks much,

Daniel

I think some at this page are still up. Anything that's just a text file, rather than a zip, needs to be copy/pasted into a new file on your computer, because my webhost alters the linebreaks, for Murdock only knows why.

I'm just wondering if it would be possable to get the Fyquest campaign, as it looks interesting, trouble is that neither of the links work!
Thanks,

Daniel

The maps don't work with the latest version of Swamp, and there are loads of other outdated things (the armor, the custom weapons that now have official counterparts, etc). So you'd want an older campaign client, or to wait and hope I get around to updating it sad

@Cae:
Is your server running Linux, by any chance? If so, the issue you're running into is that when transferring the files via FTP, they're being sent in ascii mode, rather than binary. This means that the traditional windows linebreak (\r\n) is being replaced by the unix one (\n), and some windows programs don't handle the shift well.
You have a couple of options, but the simplest one is to just zip everything. Others include forcing binary transfer mode in your client or changing the extension of the files to something that won't be recognized as plain text (you can also edit your client's list of ascii filetypes if you want).

Hi,
Do these campaigns work with 3.8?
There is also another campaign missing, one that I don't remember the name of but I might have it somewhere as a zip. You had to type slash ready and it sporned zombies as waves and you beat them, rearmed yourself and so on and so on and they got harder and harder.

That wasn't the pyramid campaign, was it?

Hi,
I am not entirely sure. I don't think it had towers as far as I know, I think the pyramid one is new to me.

Hi,
Has anyone thought about making a campaign in the style of a horde type thing, or maybe a defender mission type thing?

2018-06-27 17:43:13

are there any online ones that can be done?

2018-06-27 19:26:27

Greetings.

I am actually in the midst of working on a campaine at the moment. Don't know when it will be done but its got some cool custom maps, and I am thinking about having some good quality activities for you to do. I'll post the comments about the campaine beneath this line.

'This is a campaine where you are a soldier with the rank of sargent sent from military high command to deal with the zombie apocalypse by any means necesary. With your armour in tact, plus an M40 sniper rifle, an MK23 pistol, a military Crossbow, an MG4 machine gun, an Armsel Striker shotgun, a vulcan minigun plus an UM45 submachine gun and a Steyr Aug assault rifle with all modifications in place plus a fiew other handy weapons of choice, your mission is simple, iliminate the threat and meet up with some of the other units deployed from high command. Plenty of civs to rescue as well, so be aware.

Once I'm done with the first mission. I'll upload it and let people give it a go if they wish.

is this an online or offline campaign?

Hi,
@Daren all campaigns are offline/single player, different to online missions. Campaigns is a separate mode for Swamp.

Yes I have sorta tried that. One of said campaigns in my folder is a small defender mission with a single barricade that zombies can hammer on. Though 1 thats all that can really happen accept for you pressing enter to repair it which I'd rather make much harder to do, and 2 said barricade does not repair properly yet. Also there is no wave code yet.

2018-06-28 14:23:46

OOh I'd love to know how to do this, as that was the sort of thing, so I'll let you know my ideas.
Wow, that sounds great, looking forward to seeing where this goes. It's kind of a shame you can't donate equipment, because I was thinking about that sort of system to repair the barricade. Unless you could sporn items around the map that has a variable and the game can check if you ahve those types of items, and let you repair. So stuff like wood, chairs, metal.

2018-06-30 20:29:44

You could donate equipment with out much problems to repair the barricade.
I was thinking to add steel bars around the map and when you press enter on the barricade, it uses up all the steel. But come to think of it I'm not sure how to remove items from the inventory with SCS code.

Keithwipf1, use the same command you'd use to give someone an item, just give them -1.
