hello,
I have some questions regarding Reaper
1. Is there any documentation for using it with Osara?
2. Is Reaper better than Goldwave? I mean, which one has a better functionality?

If you want to contact me, do not use the forum PM. I respond once a year or two, when I need to write a PM myself. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Well, since gold wave is only 50 bucks and from what I understand it functions like audacity or garageband, yes reaper is way better than gold wave.
I've been thinking about trying either pro tools or reaper on the mac, and have looked into what i'd need as far as reaper goes. Since you mentioned gold wave i assume your using windows as I don't think there was ever a mac version, but for reaper you'll need osara as well as the sws extentions.
There is a site called reaperaccess.com, and although its slightly out dated as it still says you need reaccess, it does have the sws extentions and does have tips on reaper on both mac and windows. Whether those tips are any use to us using osara instead of reaccess, I honestly don't know.
Another good thing with reaper is the 60 day trile. If you install it and find that you really don't like it, just uninstall, no money lost. Also, you probably shouldn't brag about this if you do it, but after that trile runs out, it doesn't actually stop your use of the program, it simply gives you a message when launching reaper that can be disregarded if you for what ever reason don't wan to pay. I'm not saying you should or shouldn't do this, that is up to you. I wouldn't, but some people do.

Effects on reaper don't work for me
I just use adobe audition

Pics or it didn’t happen

That could be because you use reaccess still, and that's deader than deader than deader than dead.

Hi.
Here is some great stuff to get you started on Reaper. The Reaper access site is very much outdated. Please note that I haven't had much time to look at it, since music composing takes more my interest currently. smile

They both serve different purposes, so it's like comparing apples and oranges. Gold Wave is designed for single track editing, whereas Reaper is a fully featured digital work station that is usually used with multiple tracks at the same time, midi, and other such.

Hello to every one, i want to know, can i make music without using midi?
I don't have a midi keyboard now, it is to much money.
IF there is, please tell me about it, and how to use it.
Thanks and best regards.

best regards

I'm not sure about any software instruments without midi, you could get a mixer and a few condencer and dynamic mikes, then record a guitar, drums, base, or what ever you want, then produce that in reaper, but i don't know how well software instruments work without a controler.

You can compose music without a controller... but you need to use Midi in one form or another. Either in a midi text input language like muse, or find a way to trigger musical notes using your regular computer keyboard. Reaper lets you do this, though how efficient that is I don't know.

What does SWF mean, anyway? I can't find anything on what the abbreviation stands for, and I also installed RaeAccess for NDA, but I can't seem to figure out how to make MIDI files to play, or how to add audio tracks in addition to the MIDI tracks I have already imported. I was hoping to find someone who could help me one-on-one, but so far I haven't found anyone yet.

If you can spend some money, I higlhy recommend cavi courses for reaper and osara. It took me up to two months to  learn reaper.

Get rid of ReaAccess and use ASARA. ASARA is actually being updated.

Don't use reaccess, its deader than deader than deader than dead. Osara is current.
