Hi, I just got the Braille note  touch, I was trying to use it as a braille display since I saw it was supported by BRLTTY. I have tried lots of things, trying to use it with or with out the human where drivers, using blue tooth or USB and used libx and lib 1.0. All NVDA says is, could not load the brt display driver I have also tryed multiple display types and made sure the service was started.
Thanks for your help.

You have to install the USB drivers, then restart your computer. After that, there should be a display called HumanWare Brailliant BI/B series in the list.

Yes I have done that, still it says cant load the driver if I choose the one in the Braille dialog that is  humanwhere driver or the BRltty driver.I have configured  BRLtty to use the humanwhere driver.

NVDA's brailliant driver is screwy. Try restarting your PC. If that doesn't work, keep trying to use it like I did, you may find that it suddenly works. The driver isn't that brailliant, if you know what I mean, (braille display and word joke.)

Oh, so I don't use BRLTTY?

Don't use NVDA, use jaws. NVDA is pretty terrible with braille displays, at least in my experience with my focus 40 blue. I'd imagine it would be even worse with a note taker too because they can freeze if you try shutting down your pc with it still connected.

Ok, so the NVDA driver was not working, it only showed the Braillenote display driver.  BRLTTY kind of works, it shows braille but it wont let me scroll, input or anything. Could you give me the NVDA driver that your using?

You don't select BRLTTY, you have to select HumanWare Brailliant BI/B series from the combo box.

The only human where thing that shows up is human where Braille note, it says on that display cant load display driver.
I downloaded the one from the Braille  note touch page.

It didn't show up for me either, try reinstalling the USB driver.

Hi, Just going to chime in here. My question for you is, what version of nvda are you using?
For quite a while now, there's been support for humanware displays, with quite solid connectivity, and that's coming from someone who uses one every day smile If the brailliant bi driver works with the braille note touch, which I can't comment on, you have to first connect your display after installing the usb driver for it, and if the humanware driver isn't in the braille settings list, then there's more going on.
HTH,

Daniel

I removed all of the humanwhere drivers. and Installed the Braille note touch version, but still the humanwhere braille note is the only one that shows up, it does not work. I am using the latest version of NVDA 2017.3.
I removed everything with device manager. And rebooted my computer once the new driver was installed. Where did you get your driver from?

That's Humanware for you. Like I said, the driver is very screwy. I couldn't get it to show up either, but then it randomly showed up for no reason.

That's extremely odd. I would say to ask on the NVDA user's list if you can, and perhaps someone can give you more incite into what's going on.
Cheers,

Daniel

I can second what garret has said, the Brailliant driver is pretty buggy. May want to ask HUmanware support and possibly even arrange some sort of intervening chat with a Humanware support rep and an Nvda developer, if you can manage that.

I also got a Braille Note Touch. However, I can't find the link to download the driver. Does someone have a wget or curl link I could use to download it?
Thanks!
