It has already stated that the game uses 14 tracks, and so the soundtrack contains all of them. Please read above posts carefully... the possible volume 2 (keyword is possible) is different.

You don't need to make an account on Bandcamp to get your music, don't worry.

Yeah re: the Volume 2 comment, what I was suggesting was that in a perfect world, where we have all the money we could ever want, we'd contract Steven to compose music for all those events and locations we'd talked about having unique music for, then add it to the game and release it as a second volume. That is probably never going to happen, so it was more a joke than anything else. But it would certainly make me happy if we were ever able to do it.

hey
I can buy for pay pal?

2017-10-13 16:39:38

The soundtrack is live! It can be purchased at the following locations. Remember that it has also been submitted to major platforms like iTunes, Amazon, Google, etc., and will be available once they finish processing it—if you prefer one of those platforms, we'll update here and on our Twitter as they become available, and will also post a Kickstarter update once it's available on all major services. We'll also keep a list on our website—I'll provide the link once that's up. But if you can't wait, or just don't want to, you can get the album at either of these locations:

Bandcamp: https://outofsightgames.bandcamp.com/releases

CDBaby: https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/josephbein

Todo, I believe Bandcamp uses PayPal for payment processing. Not sure about CDBaby.

2017-10-13 16:42:23

Yes also cd baby uses Paypal, i try it.

Thanks blind-gamer. Also, way to be quick on the draw—you found the album before we had time to announce it was live!

Yeah I'm noticing that some people are able to check out just fine, and others are reporting issues at one or both sites. My recommendation would be to reach out to the site itself for support if you have trouble checking out.

Hi
I've just bought the soundtracks, and they're really no words. Amazing job guys.
By the way: I also had issues checking out from Bandcamp, but I've purchased them from CDBaby and am having them now, everything is alright.

Kind regards!

@toto: when you click mp3, you then ahve to click the link that says, "A Hero's Call Original Game Score2. The mp3 option is like a setting.

2017-10-14 02:03:00

Wow, well now I have the soundtrack.
You know I am gunning for the game when it comes out I will get it.

Wow I really like this. As both a musician and someone who's just taken a particular liking to film score esc stuff over the last year, I'm impressed. I'd be curious as to where you originally came across some of the original tracks that you'd been using in the demo, did you compose a rough draft and then Steven made it what it is now?

2017-10-14 03:28:19

Yeah, so I composed a number of tracks, a few of which you hear in the demos. Of course, my orchestration chops are pretty limited. So then we gave those tracks to Steven, and had him re-orchestrate them, resulting in the versions you hear on the soundtrack. We also had other tracks that I never had the time to compose, which Steven did completely on his own. So all the music on both the demos and the soundtrack was originally composed for the game; you can see from the artist listed on the tracks whether it was a Steven Harriton original or one I composed and he re-orchestrated.

2017-10-14 03:31:40

Ah, yeah the titles were what originally made me ask. Fun times

2017-10-14 08:41:55

Well, is it only me and few other people I talked to about this? I talked to the one person yesterday who also got the OST and there's definitely something wrong with the mastering.
On tracks like the  "Farhaven" there's definitely too much reverb and it's not natural really.
The whole album is mastered in a really weird way so mostly there's no base giving you that feeling which is totally differend compared to when you are listening to hollywood productions. Maybe this is something their wanted to do, no idea.
At the beginning I was thinking it's only me who thinks in that way but now when more of my friends (who are sound designers and engineers mostly) listened to it they are saying exactly the same.

The music itself is brilliant, instruments are definitely good but I am only discussing mix and mastering here. smile

So, what are your feelings regarding that?
