Okay. Thanks a lot for confirming that. That's good to know for the future quests.

@SLJ yeah it can be a pain in the ass. I have a dream that one day STW quests will be specific for that person. Meaning, when you accept the quest then youc an see the item that you are looking for, but before you accept the quest you cannot see or pick up the quest item for said quest. So without accepting the mountain climb quest you see nothing, but once you pick it up it spawns just for your character and others cannot take it because that spawn is tied specifically to your character alone. then of course the same would apply for every other person who accepts the quest.

Yes I totally agree that this would be the best solution. I don't have contact to Sam other than mail and through the forum. Maybe you as the admin could suggest this? I could suggest this feature in the STW topic.

The oyster hunt quest item can be found under the western oceans oyster bed. If you are not sure where to begin, go west from the castle until you found the ocean, and dive in there. Caution: do make sure you get up once in a while to prevent drowning.

Reviving this topic to use it for it's intended purpose.

Could anyone give me a hint in regards to getting through the Confusing And Mazelike Cave System? I don't want anyone to tell me word for word where to go, but maybe I can describe where I'm stuck and someone could give me a hint. Basically, I'm at the area with the stone barrier. I've spent hours scanning every tile of this place, but I still can't figure out where to go now. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated smile

Oh my goodness. Here we are, first posting bugs to the public, then now posting quest instructions. Let's say you read these, go to the game, complete the quests, then brag about it all day in out of character. So pretty much you are a lazy ass who relies on others to figure stuff for um, some people've got to understand, it's no fun to complete a quest, unless you do it alone. What next, all i gotta say is have fun.
Anyways let's see, aultr, even if you know where to complete the quest, you would stil have a challenge, fighting and what not. Manamon, even if you know where to go, you'd still have to battle and so on. STW, the quest system there is just not developed, not good enough? All you gotta do is explore the map, pick an item, hell I even know people who don't know a bit of windywolf completed the quest in there. Why? Because they were guided by there friends.

have you ever hered about game faqs? gamepresher?  gamespy? IGN? and other   games guide websites?

@Ross: The cave system is very tricky to explain. There are a lot of stone barriers depending on where you go. There is one place, where you need to jump through a whole in the wall. Have you been at the place where a lot of passages goes east?
I might get time to log in and help you later today, because that's easiest regarding the cave system.

Oh, I didn't know there were more than one barriers. The one I'm referring to is in the area after you swim under the walls So to make sure you know what I've done so far, I'll list it, just to make sure we're on the right page.

1. Entered the area.

2. picked up the book.

3. Swam under the wall to the east.

4. Explored everywhere and found the barrier.

That's all I've done so far.

Oh damn, my dear. You are only at the very beginning of the caves.
You need to keep finding the way upwards, and this place is really huge. Keep working your way up until you come to a big hall, where a lot of paths leads to the east. Watch out for big gabs, and look for wholes in the walls which you need to jump through. This place is so huge so making a walkthrough would be nearly impossible, and that would spoil the fun as well.
When you have come to the big hall with all the paths, you have a lot of choices. The easiest way out is the path in the north east section. When you have taken this path, you still have a quite long way to go...
I'm sorry that I can't be more helpful at the moment. That's the most helpful explanation I can come up with.

@SLJ

Thank you for the advice, would you have any tips as to my current location; just a small one? I still want to figure out these caves, just a small hint of where I currently am would help. Thank you for all of your help.

What is in the treehouse in the windy wolf forest and where is it?

@Ross:
If I remember correctly, you have to go to the east part of the area. Go down a hall, and there at the end, you'll find a very small whole in the wall where you can go upwards. It's very difficult to find, but it is there.
@John1: The treehouse is in the north east section of the forrest. It's quite difficult to find. Track one of the trees, climb up, be careful they are very high, and then check if you found the right tree which leads to the treehouse. There are four trees up to the treehouse if I remember correctly, but be careful, they can be cut down. If you try to get down from the treehouse when the tree is cut, you'll die.
What's up there? Well, that's up to you to discover. I tell you, it's cool up there and it is worth it.

Update

I still can't find where to go. Can't find any walls to climb or any hole to climb through. Any help would be appreciated: I've tried everything I can think of.

Okay. I'll try to explain how to look for hidden exits or ways to climb in the cave:
Walk up to a wall, move the camera one tile in the wall, move it up like two tiles, and move it backwards or forwards. You need to search very carefully to find the exits or places where to climb.
To get up from the water where you dive and swim under the wall, there is one place where you can go a few steps upwards. Then you have to move one tile, and climb up again. Then you are up above the water area, and you have, if I remember correctly, three paths to the west and two paths to the east. Now I don't remember what direction I was phasing. You have to walk to the place where you have a hall to one of the sides, which have two enterences. When you climb down the hall, you can go around in a square and come up in the bigger room again through the other exit of the hall. In this hall, you have to go to the end, where you have to search very carefully with the camera to find a one tile place where you can climb up.
Damn i wish I was better at explaining things... smile
