Hello everyone,
I have a question, that i cant understand.
I have lw 3.5

(demo version), and after a few minutes, i cant play any more, because i

hear the windows default beeping sound, several times, and it is only stops

when i close the game (with the 'end now' button)
It is like when you are

on the desktop, and hold down a letter, which you have no associated

icon.
Maybe it is the end of the demo? I really cant understand, because

the demo contains two missions, which you can try, but i dont know that

there is a time limit.
It is my last hope, because i tried two versions of

lw with two computers, v 3.22 and v 3.5, and both of them did that beeping

thing.
If someone can help, please post a reply.

Best regards,
Robjoy

Unfortunately I can't help, other than to confirm that there is not a time

limit on the demo. The only restrictions are on the two missions, and the

inability to use custom missions.

Have you tried contacting GMA?

I

didnt, yet, but i have a feeling that i will soon smile
I tried it on a third

comp, and the problem occurred as well.
If someone has lone wolf, a

registered copy, then i think it is possible that the problem occurs when

the game is not registered.
Unfortunatelly, i cant try it.

I've

used a demo version on two different computers, one under both windows ME

and XP (I had to reformat and couldn't get XP to go back on) and a second

under XP. No issues of the kind at all. What's your OS and version of

direct X? You can find out the latter by going to the run box and typing

dxdiag, that's d x d I A g short for direct x diagnostics.

My

os is winXp pro, and i have the latest directX 9.0C
It is still strange, i

only get this beeping sequence, when lw displays a thank you for trying the

demo version dialog, i press ok, and after a few mins, it will appear.
If i

hear those beeps, i cant do anythingin the game, i must close it, via the

task manager or from the taskbar.
Out of ideas heh
Or maybe not, there is

one thing that i should do, contact with gma.

I

figured out that this problem only occurs with soundBlaster sound cards.
I

have a Sound Blaster 24 bit, 7.1 surround sound card, and it is quite new,

so it is really strange that this problem happens with the game.
But that

is a real world, so i realized i have to contact with Gma.

Since

you entioned it happens only with that certain brand of card, try pressing

CTRL+R to "refresh" your sound card when the problem occurs. I remember

having the same problem on my Soundblaster live a while

ago.

If

everything goes well, then i just have to press ctrl+r one, when i start the

game, and it will work.
Thank you very much, Munawar!

P.S.: I had to use

the reset function with sod too, how i am stupid that i forget about that?
