I would do a tutorial if I could speak English.

Just a question:
How complicated would it be to get pitch bends going, such as you might find on an electric guitar solo? Well I guess it's not just on an electric guitar solo, violins and such do it too... basically all string instruments are capable of it.
There are two commands: h, and H, which deal with this, but the descriptions for these are vague enough that I can't figure out how to use them to make the pitch slide around.
Then there is crX that I've seen, but I tried using it as instructed and was told it was an invalid command. Therefore, I never tried any other commands from section 1.4.
Does anyone know anything about this?

I also did not understand how to use the H command, the other command h I use is for the detune.

Commands related to MIDI parameters such as SysEx, ctrl, nrpn,
I do not use them; I only use some ctrl parameters for a kind of effect called chorus.

Hi,
I've also downloaded the program, but i can't open it.
I get a strong error, saying that something in the libstdc++-6.dll was not found.
What's wrong?

2017-07-15 00:22:59

The entry point was not found.
I think it's because you have to install other versions of Microsoft Visual C++.

2017-07-15 19:28:52

Dear  all,

I'm  having  a  problem  with  Miditext.  Unfortunately,  I  can't  even  open the program, and believe me, I so want to. I really do want  to  write  music, I've been  in band for 10 years and therefore would love to write music. If any of you could please help me, I keep getting an error that is not solved by opening as admin, that'd be  great. I don't know how best to copy errors to show you, but it's not a good one.

Thanks for helping with this.

2017-07-16 00:18:10

@vablus, I have no problems with it, even running it normally.
Do not you know what the error says?
@akse0435, I do not know what problem it might be, if you already have all those versions of MVC.
Did you check the Windows event viewer? Maybe there you will find some error.

It is the same error about he entry point not being found. I am still trying to figure it out. Perhaps the developer of this software may be able to assist me with this problem? Anyone else have any ideas as to how to fix this issue?

2017-07-17 05:19:07 (edited by Dekyo-NEC2608 2017-07-17 08:18:35)

I do not know what it could be.
I searched the error in Google, but all the search results are with respect to the MinGW compiler and the like.
The same thing happens to me (but with another dynamic-link library) when trying to run a Japanese audio game.

Actually, At post 30, how are you achieving that chorus effect? I was planning on moving the created midi to  QWS, but I am working with a different soundfont on MidiText. I could probably then move that soundfont over to qws and hope for the best, but then I have to resolve how to convert that to an actual sound format.

I have a website now.

2017-07-20 07:03:08 (edited by Dekyo-NEC2608 2017-07-20 07:07:26)

What I do, is to specify the MIDI CC 93 (chorus) and its value 0 to 127 in a channel.
Example:

ctrl(93,50)
The second number is the admitted value, I suppose you'll know about that.

I use various SoundFonts, like the SoundFont by default (Chorium) and others, such like Timbres of Heaven, which is a great SoundFont.

I also think this sustain peddle isn't working as expected. I can turn it on just fine, but it doesn't want to turn off. A bit wierd. I wonder if Aminiel even checks this old topic any more.

You can also control the sustain with the following MIDI CC.
ctrl(72,value)
Value 0 to 127. Anyway, it would be a good idea if Aminiel checks this topic.

Hi all. I've downloaded the MIDIText from Aminiel's website, but I got an error every time I try to run the exe file. Here is the message which appears.

miditext.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point _ZNKSt7__cxx1112basic_stringIcSt11char_traitsIcESaIcEE4findEcj could not be located in the dynamic link library libstdc++-6.dll.

Can anybody help me to solve this?

Many people are having this error lately. It is best to ask his respective developer (Aminiel) for help.

I have never used this program, but I would like to.
I hird it can use soundfonts, and I would like it to also include OPL3 emulation in a feucher release.
There are already some libraries that convert midi commands into opl3 commands, and most importantly, there are OPL3 emulators available.
There are some windows midi drivers that use some of these, and I would like midi text to use the code from these drivers.
You can get the code from http://grossgang.com/utilities/opl3emu.zip
For those who want a compiled version, that is at http://grossgang.com/utilities/opl3emu.exe

2017-08-22 14:16:40 (edited by Dekyo-NEC2608 2017-08-22 14:30:55)

This emulator already knew it, although what I would like (I do not know if it is possible) is that Aminiel implement the option to choose a MIDI port. So I could use the MidiText with the SMPS and of course, with the OPL-3 WinMM driver. I think I would have a lot of fun. Although they are only suggestions, I do not know if Aminiel would do this, which I find unlikely.

I do not guarantee it works, but have you tried scanning the system using the system tool called SFC? You may be able to solve the problem. Of course, you will have to know how to use the command prompt to run it because it is a command line software.
