Hi.
Wow what a cool idea Dark. I agree that it would be awesome to spent money from the casino on unlockables, new sound packs etc. Maybe new themes for the different games. Items which unlocks an achievement etc.

Best regards SLJ.

Hello Dark,

Cool ideas.

About the logos - you can skip them by tapping the screen 5 times (or hold the screen for 1 second).

Hunt - if you play any game in blind mode you get a score multiplayer (from 2 times to 6 times - depending on game).
To play in blind mode change it in settings or swipe two fingers left or right.

Dojo - if you tap finger to close to each other it might be counted as one tap - the challenge is to use one finger (smiley face).

Bomb Disarmer - yes, we could think about the changes - for now we thought that the idea of sending code as DTMF was pretty cool.

I like the idea with purchases for coins - we thought about it - we were not sure what could you get - we will think about your ideas.

Thank you for your feedback!
Jarek

Can you please comment on where could we put the PC version in the future?
Steam?
Itch.io?
Gog.com?
Humblebundle?
Any other ideas?

Are you planning to add a Mack os version of this game? About the darks Idea, I have to agree with  him. I know that that those games have enough levels or sounds to play, but we can still for example have more animals or to select animals at random etc. About  dojow, I agree, What's the point of the game if you can just cheet in it! And also,  can you please make this game a spetially blocks a little bit more responsive? Best regards. Aleksandar

Just whatever platform which is accessible by screenreaders. Or simply purchasable from a website.

@Jarek I didn't know about the multiplyer for graphics off, that is a good idea.
I always think unlockables and things to work towards  a great addition, particularly to arcade style games, since it means when you play your not just getting score, but working towards some achievements or pirzes so I'd be a huge fan of that.

I would not recommend Steam  since the steam program itself is not friendly to screen readers and requires lots of mucking around with ocr addons to work, valve have been told about  this but don't give a dam about accessibility.

of the services you mention, probably Itch.io would be reasonable to use, but any service where the game can be easily just downloaded and run with the minimum of messing with inconvenient websites or interfaces that might not be good for screen readers, heck while you might consider places like humble bundle for purposes of appealing to a wider audience the absolutely best and most friendly alternative is still just to sell the game via your own site and use paypal for payment.

At this point I'd say just have it purchasable from a website with a trial download. There used to be a distribution platform called Desura which, unlike Steam, was not only completely accessible, but apart from giving devs a centralized distribution hub, pretty muc let devs go on their own. It was client independent as well, there was optional client software. Sadly, Desura is pretty much dead now, which is rather unfortunate because it did have a lot going for it. Personally I think Steam is, well I wouldn't say accessible, because it's not, but it is usable with some effort. However, not everyone is willing to put in the effort, either because it works best with nvda and they may use a different screenreader, or because they just don't feel like trying to get the client to work if it's not accessible. So Steam would seem to turn some potential gamers off at this point as far as the pc version is concerned. The best thing to do would probably be just to purchase it from a website.

i have problems with 3 of you're minigames:
blackjack: the game says you cant split, yet, it's a critical part to the game: it cant be played without it, simply cant! 2, when the deeler draws a card, it doesn't add up to his total, let me show you an example:

i have a jack and a 7 in my hand, dealer has 6 showing. I stand. Dealer draws a 4, so now they have 10 points in total, see the problem? it doesn't take in account how much the second card in the dealers hand is worth, thus, affectively, screwing the entire strategy.

2. bomb and simon: sorry, what's the difference, cause i sure as hell don't see one.

an idea for a game.
poker: clasic game of poker, nothing less nothing more, swipe left and right through the cards, swipe up or down on a card to hold/draw, and when you're finished double tap the screen.

2017-07-16 00:27:11

Bom disarmer is random sequences whereas simon is the classic memorization game.

Hi again,

Thank you for your replies. PC version will be out after we will do runner and animal escape - couple of months away from now.
How we will distribute it - not sure yet.

Yes, we are planning to ad Poker in the future - but first things first wink

I am a cickstarter backer and I have recieved the unlock code, but I don't know how to enter it in the game. I play it on an iphone, could someone please tell me how to enter it?

How to redeem a code?

Thanks Sonnar. I've started playing bomb disarmour, but I find the dtmf tones confusing, would it be possible to use any soundpacks bought for simon in this game as well?

2017-07-17 06:30:04

Hi rpgtank,

Yes, we could add that in the next update - but probably only for Endless mode (after you complete campaign mode).

I like the Blackjack dealer. She sounds very amused all the time. smile

I think you should combine "Bomb Disarmer" and Simon into the same game, as different modes of play. They are, after all, the same game! And please allow Bomb Disarmer to use sound packs; the DTMF tones are really hard for me to distinguish, not to mention uncomfortable.

For "Memory" and anywhere else this applies, please try to mimmick VoiceOver. Once a box is selected by dragging, double-tap anywhere means double-tap that box. Ditto the corners; once swiped or tapped, now double-tap anywhere activates them. Otherwise you've got to carefully double-tap in the exact same spot you found them, which I find to be quite hit-and-miss.

Edit: thank you Raygrote, that helped a lot re the DTFM and I can see how that makes sense, also thanks Jack for pointing out the differences between this and Simon. I still struggle, and believe as it's not core to the game, there should be at least alternative types of beeps. Simple tonal sine waves would work OK for me.

Just myself, as usual.

I'm afraid I don't agree with  simon soundpacks in bomb disarmer. It's supposed to be a different game with a different atmosphere and something of a story behind it, and it would be just plane wrong to have say drumbs or animal sounds or whatever on a dangerous bomb, plus then there would be little difference in the two games.

Myself, I would suggest as I said above making the bombs use something like spoken numbers or letters or something else in words to distinguish them and make the game less like Simon.

It's a fair point Dark--see my last edit. Great minds etc. smile

Hmmm.
Well another guy I talk to on another podcast site that views stuff with me says the adds are not showing up.
Collectibles sound interesting.
As for distribution services, I have and am a current itch.io user for my renpy text adventures.
They support or can support paypal.
I have only used humble bundle for 1 game but I'd be happy with itch.io.
I have never needed to run the itch client but I have used their website extensively.
But maybe cricket and audiogamehub well bits of the hub will make it on pc.\
Not all games unless they can be made keyboard accessible would really work.
for simon I guess right left up and down arrow keys could be used.
But for bomb disarmour while these could be used to I do wander if the numbers could be used instead and you had an actual code to put in maybe who knows.

2017-07-18 06:55:20

Well, Dark has a point - the idea was that you are given a disarm code by a dispatcher who recorded the terrorist sequence... Adding numbers would make the game too easy? All sounds are different and played in stereo panorama. What do you think?

2017-07-18 16:37:07

Well, what exactly are you trying to challenge? At risk of asking a silly question. smile

If the sounds are distinct, sound sufficiently high-tech and relate somewhat to bombs, code entry or whatever, then I shouldn't have a problem. The only condition is that the sounds have known positions, which you can either announce verbally ("this sound is the top left...") or which can be discovered, much as now.

Just myself, as usual.

2017-07-18 20:31:51

Hi.
I guess that could work to panned sounds in the stereo field then you need to find the sound with the mouse or if on pc select it with the arrow keys and be quick about it similar to the old lworks lock breaking game I havn't fiddled with that for ages.

2017-07-19 00:11:57

I am also a bit unhappy with the similarities between Bomb Disarmer and Simon, but as there's already been a lot of great feedback on that so far, I won't harp on it. Just throwing in my two cents that I'd like to see some different sounds in Bomb Disarmer, but I do agree about having Simon soundpacks not being a great idea.

Is the cricket game going to remain its own app forever, or are there plans to integrate that into the actual hub at some point? I don't mind either way, I'm just curious.

I look forward to a PC version as well. I was always much better at archery and blocks on the PC than I ever was on the phone. Also, I'm having a lot of trouble getting anywhere in Cricket, and have a feeling that a PC version would be a lot less frustrating.

The glass is neither half empty nor half full. It's just holding half the amount it can potentially hold.

Cricket will remain a stand alone due to its big size (it uses 3D graphics).

2017-07-20 01:25:31

hi,
first of all, congratulations for these games! for a guy like me, who trabels everyday, playing these games is the best way to pass time and have fun!
i'll buy all the games as soon as i can, not because the advertisements, because you deserve it.
This is kinda off topic but, is there any possibility to see 1812 again in the future? i had that prologue, and playing it was fantastic! i'd love to see it continued....

Well we have quite a few games we want continued.
1812 is one of them.
Please understand we can only do so much at once though.
Right now this focus is on audiogamehub.
After that its probably going to be whispering tunnels, then we will see.
This stuff is not in concrete though and  I will leave jarek or jiong to answer the question what the actual schedual is.
For myself though I'd like 1812, the game that was round before  sonnar officially started to become reality.
I would also like the project that has been round 10 years before that that I looked at internally to be done as well sooner than later.
If you are jarek you will know what the project stored on the hard drive as a mod to well you know what that is.
I'd really like that to continue as well.
