You might know that KNFB Reader for Windows 10 is available and on offer in the Windows Store.

I, of course, won't be buying it. It only runs on Windows 10. But I was wondering what people here thought about it. Specifically, how well it works with your screen reader, as a self-voicing application, and as a Windows Store app that interacts with your scanner or camera. The reason I'm asking is that my brother is torn between buying Open Book + Pearl or this thing for his laptop uses.

The other thing I'm not sure about is whether the store app can acquire automatically. It is a store app, so it uses the Windows APIs. What effect does that have when using a flatbed scanner?

Thoughts appreciated.

Just myself, as usual.
