vb audio cable is a free alternative to virtual audio cable.
Voice meter lets you change how your microphone input sounds, but it isn't accessible.

Does VB Audio Cable work under Windows 10? Last time I tried it, about a year ago, I couldn't get it to work. That's fine since I happen to have VAC, but I was just curious to try it out and see how it compared in functionality. Seeing this topic made me think of it again.
