Hi.So the server is up for a very short time. I am gonna get a new server, but it runs Linux, so of course I can't host TK's server on there. I am talking to SLJ about maybe hosting the server.

Hi. So after much thinking and some fixing of the server, :d, I updated the game to version 1.02. Its a tiny update, mainly switching over to the new server. Thanks to SLJ, the server is back online. Note: this is only a test, just to see how it goes. At the time of writing the server is down but I hope it comes back online I just gave SLJ a fresh copy. Your chars are still on the server, don't worry.
the game seems nice and I would like to tryy it. the problem is that when I click on the link on the first post it opens up an add instead saying that my internet is too slow and that my web browser is used to display adds. I have no idea what this means but I hope it can be fixed in the future.

Hi. So I forgot to post the new link.I have switched to blinkwizard.com for my website. However, it is under construction. the direct link is http://blinkwizard.com/tk/release.zip
I'm proud to help by offering to host the server. However, I'm not sure on if the server can handle it, if many players are playing at the same time. Therefore, this is only a test to see how it works, and if it works at all.
Currently, it takes some time if Ivan needs to update the server. I have to put it on the server and restart the server. This limites Ivan regarding to release updates on the server side when he have the time to do so, because we are in different timezones, and I'm generally quite busy. The way we communicate privately is quite fast, and works well in my opinion.
If my server can handle the game and it works as we hope, we'll look into a more smoother way to update the server. If we for some reason can't find a smoother way to update the server and Ivan for this reason or for other reasons choose to host his own server again, it's fully understandable. I'm just offering the server to hopefully make things easier, and to makes something available for Ivan as the developer, but of course also for those who wanna play the game. I'm telling this to avoid any kind of bad rumors. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to ask.
I'll keep an eye on this topic as much as possible to see how it goes, and to see if everything works as it should. Well, I hope you'll have fun and enjoy the game on the new server...
Good, I finally get to try this out. Before it was sending me to some Freenom World website telling me to change my DNS to some random setting.
I was alone on the server and it was verry but verry fast.
The ping was 47 and 50 ms.
So far, the game looks promising. I like the features it has to offer. Only I did notice that when using the tracking key, it will sometimes repeat the message one and a half times, and in the tracking menu there seems to be a blank player along side the ones there.
Also for some reason, I placed a rem gun, and then started walking forward. I was suddenly moving very swiftly, until I got to 4, 70, at which point I stopped, and could no longer move.
The server seems to run quite stable. I hope more will come and play the game so we can see how the server handles it.
If you have any suggestions or experience any lag or problems, please tell us about it here on the forum.
How do you use the remote guns? I get how to place them but nothing says how to fire them.
Okay I figured part of it out. Since it's not in the read me, here is what I know so far.
Shift + R after a remote gun is paced will pull out the remote. Space, although it renders jumping useless, will become the new remote gun firing key. D will destroy the gun via self destruct.
I don't know how to get out of the remote mode and back into a place where space can be used for jumping again, and I don't know if there's a way you can tune into the remote gun to see where it's facing, who's near etc, but that's a start.
escape will get out of the remgun's control mode. And yeah maybe at some point a spy thing will be put in there. That'd be really useful. Also, how'd you find out about the destruct mode? And did you know you can line up a bunch at once and set traps with them?
That's a good idea.
I found out about the destruct mode because I was just clicking random buttons while I had the remote, and one of them happened to be d... Mwahahahaha.
How do you set up a trap with the guns?
Hi. So we are working on version 1.1. Anything you want to see in the new version? Ideas?
you said there would be tanks and stuff, keep that going, and i'd like some sort of teaming system
Here are a lot of ideas in some random mixed ordre. I hope you find some of it worth looking into:
Keep the readme updated. All features and how they work should be explained in the readme, or maybe the readme should say that this is up to the players to discover. I think this is very important, otherwise people would feel like they are missing a lot of the games features, and they'll keep asking the same questions about those things which aren't explained in the readme.
Different language chat channels, and a way to translate the game into multiple languages. In this way, more people will be able to play the game.
It would be awesome if you could build your own maps, and send them through the game to you as the developers to get them accepted in the game. In this way, the players could help by expanding the game the way they want.
It would be cool if the game had a shop where you could buy items for the coins you get. Maybe limit the items you pick up on the ground, and make them available in the shop instead.
When the player get killed, all the items should be lost. People can just wander around for hours and pick up a ton of items, get close to unlimited health, and if you manage to kill them, they still have most of their items.
An other idea: No, this is not to copy Redspot. It would be cool if you could build your own house, fill it up with weapons, bombs and other items to defend the house from other players, and then store useful items in your own house. The players should be able to destroy your house, but you can place traps and bombs around the house. I'm not talking about team battles like in Redspot. Just for your own enjoyment. Your house should only be visible when you are online, so you can defend it.
Then, health and the amount of items should have a limit, so people don't get too powerful, just because they are good at picking up a lot of items.
Something which really would motivate me to keep playing is if there were trophies. You could get trophies for how many players you kill, how many players you kill by using bombs, minds, remote guns and other ways to kill people. Other players should be able to see your trophies. I don't know how this could work, but maybe a trophy menu where you can see the trophies you can get, the trophies you have got and the trophies the current online players have got. Or maybe simply just use slash trophy commands. I think trophies is the way to keep people motivated. Trophies or maybe levels. But levels aren't fair in my opinion for newbies. Then. levels should be for other things than killing people.
It would be nice to have NPC enemies to kill as well. Both to entertain people when there aren't other players online, but maybe also to gain levels for some reason. Maybe the enemies could be mean to newbies, and the players at the higher levels could protect the newbies. That would be a cool mix, so you kind of have to choose if you wanna protect people or kill them. I could see that bring a lot of interesting playability to the game. Then, there would be something for those who just wanna kill other players, but also something for those who just wanna kill NPC's and don't wanna kill the other players. Maybe maps could be made for player killing and other maps only for NPC killing.
I have other ideas as well. I think you should try to make the game as unique as possible, so people don't think: Oh, just yet an other clone of something they have seen before.
I wish you the best of luck with the development, and I can't wait to see what you come up with in the future.
As you might have noticed, the server crashes some times. If you have any idea on what you're doing to make the server crash, then please let us know.
I've never gotten this error before but others have so I'll post what it is.
When some people start the game they get an error checking online requirements and aren't able to play, is there anything that they can do to fix this?
Hmm... I'm not sure if that happens when the server is down or has crashed. I have never seen this myself, so I'm not sure. But I hope either Ivan or Colton can answer this question.
hi when i open the game it says error checking online requirements. what should i do
