Excited to read it to see if there's anything you covered that I missed! And if you want any help filling in things Japanese-related, feel free to ask. I still want to finish my own playthrough... but this dang computer problem isgetting in my way. lol

Yesss, Yokotanku! Maybe you'll teach me how to ododge earthquakes

sorry for doublé posting, but here's what i have to say about yokotanku, taken directly from my guide.
part 10. the final battle!.
finally here, before the last door. enter it to....
final boss battle!. yokotanku.
This big guy has two fases.
fase1:
yokotanku has 3 attacks:
1). punch. at close distance, he will hit you with a powerful punch, and veliebe me, it's powerful! haha.
2). jumping/jumping attack. he can jump, and attack in mid-air like the regular or other boss enemies.
3). earthquake. yokotanku will start to charge, the sound is like the slime when it charges.... but he will charge for several seconds. suddenly, he will produce an earthquake that's unblockable. jump to dodge it, if you time it correctly......
strategies:
my particular strategy for the first battle is to use the bronce knife against him, it's an easy way to keep him back from you, because he is moderately fast, at least, for a guy of his sizze....
when he starts to charge, hit him 2 times with the knife. wait a half second, he will release the earthquake so, jump it!.
being the final boss, yokotanku has more hp than any oter enemy in the entire game, patience and you will win.
if you are low on stamina, use arrows to attack yokotanku, but be careful, he dodges frequently.
good luck with your timed jumps.....
when you defeat him, he will put a timed bomb, and the real battle will start...
fase 2.
this time, the boss will sumon a little machine that's indestructible. this thing will  fly towards you, and when it is almost abobe you, it will make a homing sound. then, it will shoot you for big damage. it can't be jumped, so.... if you want to aboid it, move..... and fight yokotanku at the same time....

yokotanku has the same attacks plus....
4). fast tekyu. he will start charging, like in his earthquake attack. but instead, in mid charge, he will shoot a fast tekyu towards you, for big! damage!.
5). air/ground combo. yes, he can do a combo, starting on the ground, in the air, or both in mid combo. if you're caught, it will cause very extreme damage, ofthen resulting in your death.
6). eat. an instant kill attack, sometimes yokotanku can try to eat you, if youre very close. he will make a very disgusting sound when atempting this....
7). bounce mode!. yokotanku will frequently do this, he will stop moving, and your attacks bounce of him, absolutely all. this attack remains for several seconds. at the same time, his little machine will go much faster, trying to shoot you.
be careful, if you are very close to yokotanku, he probably will try to eat you.. when the attack finishes, the boss will make a relaxing sound. time for attacking!.
8). teleport. yes, yokotanku can teleport....
strategies:
indeed, you must move all the time, shoot arrows to the boss, and be careful if you use close distance weapons, he can cause much more damage than you.
when he starts charging, be prepared for jumping if he throws the tekyu, or, if he does his earthquake, no problem. this time, it has less priority, but causes much more damage, i think. jump it.
sometimes he teleports to anywhere on the screen, activating the bounce mode, trying to eat you. what a nice guy....
run, shoot, dodge, but never stop moving, unless the machine and yokotanku are far from you, and use tekyus if you have, just when the boss finishes bounce mode....
if you manage to defeat him, congratulations!, you finished the game!!!.

um I would recommend hell mode first...
a fun fact I found out though when fighting yokotanku second form
when he does his little defensive ball thing you can hit him out of it by using the knife, or you can hit him with iron balls but that doesn't knock him out of it, just does damage

Does hitting Yokotanku's second form with the knife work on normal mode, on the old version? The lates version doesn't work on my computer. If it works, I'll just pound on him! And beat him finally! It's always the earthquake or the gun, the combo never really hits because I'm using arrows. And if their's a hell or no future mode, I'm probably going to try and play that as well.

Sorry for bringing this back up guys. Anyone still have the text walkthrough? I've recently replayed bk1 again and there's one hellish maze I don't remember how to get through. Figure the walkthrough should really help here. Also, who says beating the deathbot with knife is the easiest? I find using buster blade much better, less risky too.
