Hi, do run GMA games like shades of doom and the like in VM's or does the registration information get messed up if I run this in a VM?

Hi.
They won't get messed up if you don't change your hardware. I haven't had any issues. However, you might run into trouble if you need to reinstall the machine. Then you should just request a new key.
