To Datajake:
Have tried out your Android-X86 VM.
It's great, but why haven't you updated to version 7.0?
It would also be great if you would add Eyesfree shell to the VM.
A question to the Android experts:
Is it possible to install Talkback and Eyesfree shell screen reader in the Android SDK Emulator without sighted assistance?
My issue is that I can get the emulator up and running and have managed to get a shell and install packages but can't get speech.
It seems that Google really doesn\t care about accessibility in its SDK.
The standard SDK image created by the AVD does not contain Talkback or any accessibility packages.
You must get them from the Playstore,
And you can't get the most recent APK of Talkback or Eyesfree Shell without the Playstore.
If you go to the Eyesfree Project site on Google Code, you only get a requirement to sign in, and on Github only sourcecode is available.
Is it really so hard to get Talkback up and running in the Emulator or why doesn't the developers care?
