Greetings all.

Yes I know and usually I wouldn't post this in new releases room before it has been released but it will be available at 17:30 or 5:30 PM today. As of this posting, there is no app store or google play links yet but I will update this as soon as possible. Current link and description follows below and I'm very much looking forward to messing about with this one like I've done with all choice of games titles. Runt of the Litter is a 150,000 word interactive fantasy novel by Kelly Sandoval, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

The gryphon keepers hold all the power in the Empire of Vaengrea. They make the laws, patrol the borders, and only give gryphon eggs to their chosen heirs. As a poor stable hand, a "thrall," you know you'll never have a chance to prove yourself.

But then, you find the egg. Small, neglected, nudged out of the nest by a disapproving mother. But you can feel warmth growing inside.

Now your gryphon is in terrible danger, both from the other gryphon keepers and from a deadly plague that's wiping out the Empire's gryphons. Can you keep your gryphon safe? Where will you hide your new hatchling? Are you skilled enough to hunt its food or clever enough to steal it? Which of the gryphon keepers can you trust? How will you shape the young gryphon's mind?

Wyrm riders invade from the north on their fire-breathing dragons, the natural enemy of the gryphons. Will you and your gryphon fight in the war, seizing your place among the elite? Or will you defy the empire and lead your fellow thralls to revolution?

Can you keep a runt gryphon safe with the whole world against you? The life of your gryphon, and the fate of an empire, is in your hands.

Wow, just wow, I'm reminded here of how to train your dragon or something like that, but maybe slightly darker, especially as this time, dragons are the enemy.

Runt of the litter is out.
Although I prefer buying on the webstore because that way I get to use jaws, Might I suggest we buy the COG and hosted games title that we like on either IOS,google play or steam?
You get the webstore game anyhow, as long as you mail them with the proof of purchase. so why not help the games sails and get 2 versions while you are at it.
That said,

Wouldn't recommend steam if you don't know what you are doing and are visually impaired which I am guessing you are.

How do you buy the game on the choiceofgames site?
I managed to create an account, but when I log in I get the change email and password page with no obvious way to buy the games.

Hi,

superantoha, go to the game you'd like to buy and there should be a button there to purchase the game, once you click on that, you should get a page asking for your e-mail, password creditcard info and the like.
password being the one you choose for the website I mean,not your e-mail password.

@Farhad, steam is a game client, not accessible for windows.

Have bought the game but haven't had the time to play it yet.

I finished my first playthrough last night. It's quite good. Am wondering if there are other endings and things though. Got quite a satisfying one, but I do wonder if there are other paths. WIll try again.

update

For the first week when the game is out the purchase button will direct you to the steam store as the sails there help COG to get more steam games on the platform, exposure and all that. however if you buy the game on steam, or the app store or the google play store and forward them the receipt they will add the game to your webstore account if that's what you prefer.

I bought the game. It's a bit on the short side, and I've already seen all possible paths (as far as I know), but it is a very cool and fun game. I would like to see more games like this one, where you raise an animal or something similar. I know we already have Last Monster Master, and maybe Choice of Robots counts as well, but more would be cool, too.
