Hi,
I would like to announce my 2 latest projects.
speechPlayer in eSpeak sapi5: http://grossgang.com/tts/speechPlayer%2 … espeak.exe
Gnuspeech command line program compiled for windows: http://grossgang.com/tts/gnuspeech.7z
I tried to install this but just got the normal eSpeak install wizard
@KEYISFULL, you have to run the normal installer first to get the directory structure. then download the voices.7z file from the site, extract the content to your espeak voices folder, then run the installer again, this time typing the name of one of the voices at the voice selection prompt (edward is the only voice that uses speech player, all other voices use the standard synthesis methods). unfortunately there's still a 5 voice limmet, I don't know how to bypass that. it may be possible to add more voices via the regestry, but then you run the risk of bricking espeak, or worse, your computer.
@socheat, gnuspeech was one of the first open source tts engines created, predating espeak by a year.
hay jake, thanks for the regestry key that unlocks every single varient (in American english) for use in Sapi Applications!
btw, the keys refference some nonexistent varients including bill and jason, will these voices ever be uploaded?
Hey there guys, to get more than 5 voices you have to type a language and variant, space, and then another 1. For example, en-us+f2 en-us+f1. Hope this helps.
It actually does. In the normal eSpeak installer, there are five edit boxes. You can enter as many voices as you want in each edit box, just remember to separate them with a space, like this:
en en+f1 en+f2 en+f3 en+f4 en+f5 en+m1 en+m2 en+m3 en+m4
And so on and so forth. I don't think there's a limit on how many languages and voices can be installed at once in each edit box, at least when I first tried it three or four years ago.
@family mario, I didn't know that, I thought the edit boxes were there for a reason. btw, any progress on your work for the tts preschool album?
To get variants such as Bill and George, copy the variant files from the more variants.zip file to espeak-data\voices\!v, and then import the registry file that is for your platform.
