perhaps one of the best free sound libraries I've come across, try the Adobe Audition. Also available is NCH.

Nch is not free, but if you purchase wavepad masters edition which I did, you get the library for free. There's also the sonis game audio gdc bundle. It's up there on the torrent sites, but it was a free giveaway to begin with.
