A rather new company called Out of Sight Games is currently working on their first title: A heros call.

A heros call is a huge RPG with some features which might set a new standard for gaming in the blind community. One of Out of Sight Games goals is to hopefully bring blind and normally sighted gamers more together by adding visual graphics to the game. In this way, both blind and sighted gamers will be able to enjoy the same game.
An other awesome feature is the games translation system. Google translate is build into the game, which means the game can be translated into all the 91 different languages which Google translate currently supports. As most people know this is not a perfect translation, but indeed a very useful feature for all the people who don't speak english.

The Kickstarter campaign reached its original goal in just two days, but more money are indeed very much welcome. Here are the stretch goals:
Stretch Goal #1 - $3,700 (Funded) - Dialogue Expansion : Meeting this benchmark will allow us to add significantly to the dialogue base, making the game deeper, more expansive, and more dynamic. And guess what? You guys have already gotten us there!
Stretch Goal #2 - $4,900 - Graphics : Reaching this funding goal will allow us to commission terrain and UI graphics to bring the visual presentation of the game to a new level.
Stretch Goal #3 - $5,300 - Sound Upgrade : After improving the graphics, this next goal would allow us to purchase additional sound assets to diversify and refine the sounds that make up the world of the game.
Stretch Goal #4 - TBA : We're still doing some research to get a handle on the cost of the next thing we would want to do - more information coming soon!

You can read much more about this awesome game, watch the trailer, listen to a quest from the game and donate on the
Kickstarter project page
The Kickstarter ends the third of February. You can
Find their website at OutOfSightGames.com
The game is set to come out in june, so there is something to look forward to. big_smile

Best regards SLJ.

hmm this makes me wonder if something good ever came out of kickstarters but we'll see, this sounds promising.
I wonder if it's the same guys I worked with for a while but nah I don't Think that since they first wanted to do a computer version of warhammer.
Ahh I miss developing with them sad

A lot of good things comes out of Kickstarter if people donates to a project, which people have done in this case. Many projects are being funded every year, so I'm not sure on why you're even wandering...
Feel free to contact the guys to see if you have worked with them before.

What I like about this particular kickstarter is that the goal seems reasonable. Too often I've seen kickstarters with a goal of tens of thousands, and people in the accessible games community just don't have the cash.
I did play a very early rough alpha version of the game a couple of years ago, and I can say the idea behind this one is definitely what we've been looking for in game terms.

I'm not sure if the graphics will come off, not being how complex and expensive creating graphics that would appeal to a sighted gamer is, but we'll certainly see.
I don't know if I'll be able to contribute to this one myself, being as I'm rather lacking in the cash department right now, but I'll certainly see if I can before the campaign runs out.

Oh, and btw, congrats on your first news slj, thumbs up from me.

With our dreaming and singing, Ceaseless and sorrowless we! The glory about us clinging Of the glorious futures we see,
Our souls with high music ringing; O men! It must ever be
That we dwell in our dreaming and singing, A little apart from ye. (Arthur O'Shaughnessy 1873.)

Great work on your first post SLJ.
I was just wondering if this was going to be on the front page before seeing this. smile

Thanks for the write-up, SLJ.

LordLundin: To the best of my knowledge, we would not have been the people you were working with. This project has been in the works for a long time, and at no point was it an meant to be a Warhammer game - though that certainly sounds appealing.

Thanks so much guys. I'm glad you like it, and I wasn't sure on how to write this post, or if I did it good enough. smile I forgot to add some links. Is it okay to edit a news post to add some more? Then I'll add the links to the forum discussions, so people can follow it if they are reading this news from the front page. smile

Hi and welcome to the forum.
This is some news regarding an offline game, so your comment is off-topic for your request of help. You need to contact the developers behind the games where you have been banned. We can't do anything about it here on the Audiogames forum.

Is the trailer still up? I've not listened to it yet, though if you've watched my Twitter you'll see some retweets and shares of the out Of Sight Games reports. I've been following them for a while now ... and looking at the date, I see that I missed my change to monetarily contribute. Dang ...

If you go to their youtube channel you should be able to watch the trailer from there

I found it. LOL ... looks freaking amazing, though. Should be great. I think that some of my other gaming friends into mainstream games will want to play.
