Came across an interesting article about Wayfindr, a bluetooth beacon network currently being trialed that helps the visually impared independantly navigate underground spaces using their mobile devices and cell phones, such as the Euston station in London. [link]

London or should I say UK is really great at these kind of things I.E the amenities that they provide to the blind/visually impaireds is beyond bloody astounding.
I'm envious to say the least.
Oh my god, what wouldn't I give to have something like that around here, where I live at? hell imagine a world fixed with such beacons no more having to rely upon people to get you from point a to b!
I guess something like the Wayfindr could come around here, til the time I'm 80 or something, if that. and that is if I live that long in the first place. big_smile
Interesting read,none the less!

What else do the UK provide? I can only think of the following:
Talking banks
Audio description in cinemas
Wayfinder
Anything else?
