Presentation

Our lives have aparently not too many points in common, except for some unabilities and the difficulty for obtaining a high-quality education in a continent that itself has poor results in educational quality. So, the chance that's given through the way to take part of an educational progect where the latin american needs are taken into account, primarily when making the academic formation of the different professional people required for a right society's performance is thus highly desired.
Working from public politics and the governmental leadership  frames (Sebastián) and from education, cultural interchange, from knowledges ranging from a general statement to linguistic ones (Isaías) we pretend to help our societies from a widespread, weighted, collaborative, imaginative point of view, and specially to integrate the latin american processes of regional cooperation and development.

That's why we choose Unila as the institution that handles our education, due to its philosophy, methodology and because of its a little bit risky bet maybe by bringing an education, clearly with items about languages, feelings, experiences and needs of a continent that since ever has adapted materials from other realities when they would have made improvements, investigation, cooperation and development to its own natural rhythm an stile

We hope you to give us a chance we request and before all else, you give us an oportunity to be sharers in a widespread, innovative and productive project in a new way.

You'll need enter the original page (in spanish at the moment) to donate. The available languages may vary at any time though.
Here's the link: https://unila.juventudelatina.com/
At the top, a heading showing the actual and remaining currency will be displayed. Also you'll find other useful links to read more about the progect.
To do so, simply select "DONE AHORA Y CONTRIBUYA CON LA CAUSA", which means "Please donate now and contribute to the cause". At the next page that will appear, add to the buying shop car the next product. After, click on "Cesta de la compra" (basket purchase), "tramitar compra" (process purchase) and follow the next steps. The personal data you type in will be added, as well as the public information for your PayPal account, for internal use and identity and donations control reasons

The paying methods are as follows: PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover, as well as world bank transfer.

Last, select the money you would like to donate by pressing the corresponding radio button, and right away there will be another button which means something like "Add to the car".

The english version of this page will be added soon, so that you can know more about this progect if you want!

We hope you can help us to make this not only a dream but a reality! Though what you donate can look too small, of course it is going to be highly appreciated.

Thanks for supporting us!

Best regards.

Hmmm, Hi.

I'm not unsympathetic to the idea, but I'm afraid the information you've provided isn't exactly the sort of information that would cause me to donate to the project.

Yes, I get that this university in Brazil is a good university, which you say aren't very common in South America. However, if this is just for your friend, why should I particularly care that he (I assume it's a he but I'm not even clear on that), gets to go to university?

Is he likely to bennifit from it? Has he had an interest in education? does he want to have a career that a university education would help with.

These are the sorts of questions I'm more interested in, the personal ones, ie, which person or people I'm actually going to be helping, not how great the university that they're going to is.

I'm not saying I'm against the idea, only that the way you've presented your arguement isn't really encouraging me to donate specifically to you, ---- heck by this reasoning I should actually donate the money to my own university since it's one of the best in Britain.

Could you please let us know a little more about the person or people who we're actually going to help, and what sort of differences donations might make, rather than just telling us how great this university is.

Also for myself and other none spanish speakers, an English page would be appreciated since just for security reasons I probably wouldn't use a paypal or credit card transfer link on a page I didn't understand (I could be donating to the mafia for all I know! big_smile).

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh or uncaring. I'm certainly not unsympathetic to the idea of people trying to get an education, or the problems in other countries, heck, my godfather runs an orphanage in Peru which I donate to, however manifestly there are a lot of problems in the world, and people only have a limited amount of money and time they can devote to any given thing.

With our dreaming and singing, Ceaseless and sorrowless we! The glory about us clinging Of the glorious futures we see,
Our souls with high music ringing; O men! It must ever be
That we dwell in our dreaming and singing, A little apart from ye. (Arthur O'Shaughnessy 1873.)

Hello,

So I have the corresponding biographies for the people we're helping out. And I say "we're helping" 'cause I'm only translating what they wanna say"; anyways, I hope things can be clarified now.

I know we're not helping someone who lives on the street, yet he needs some money to study there. But without more bla-bla, you can review their biographies here:

Kind regards.
