... Dang it...

I was this close to finishing Chapter 2, and then, just after I finally beat my Shadow, I land on this level with some items behind a steel data, and although I hear the text about some code that my shadow was sure I wouldn't be able to get at, I can hardly escape the level if I don't get past it! My hands hurt from killing bosses and super-powered glitches and I had to restart my computer because it was starting to run slow for some reason, so I'll have to start the chapter all over again to get to this one part, and if I don't know how to get past that steel data I'm not going to bother.

If steal data is blocking your way and there's no way to remove it, try going the other way.

Thanks! There was a teleporter at the beginning of that last level, and it was the last! I could just have skipped to chapter 3 and it wouldn't have made any real difference! As it is, I've now played through Chapter 2 twice in one night and my arm is sore... I think I'll leave Chapter 3 for later...

Edit: Forgot to ask. Is Superliam still playable? If yes, can someone play it on Windows 7? I've downloaded a couple games where it wouldn't work because of my OS and it saddened me... (The Superliam Level in Chapter 3 got me interested.)

Yes it is.
I downloaded, plaied, and completed Super Liam on windows 7.
Then, I made the AAC level as a side project, then decided to plug it into Remnant.
You can get Super Liam from www.agarchive.net under the developer listings l works.

Hay I can't download the file.
It says how big the file is, and when I click download my browser makes the navigations sound, but no file download box comes up or anything.

Try it now. It should work.

2016-10-10 16:08:58

No dice.
I tried IE and firefox, and no deal.
I'd like to be able to play the file offline so I can go through it and make a few changes to the stage.

OK, I'll put it up on dropbox or something.

I just listened to said playthrough, and have posted a new update in post 1.
It fixes a bug in the second Mario level, and also adds the en stage message to the Metroid level.
My PC put that updated file in my virtual program files directory instead of the one that had Remnant.
Sorry about that.
It also adds a dingdong sound to the platforming practice stage, as well as fixes a long-standing spelling error in Kirby 6.
It also updates the text to tell the player to turn back.

what bug?

2016-10-14 02:51:57

Near the start of the second Mario level, their were some rock tiles that; when not jumped over properly; would result in the player entering an infinite sliding loop.

good day. so, i've been thinking about posting the second part of the playthrough, the reason why is that while yes, i've beat the main game, i failed, really baddly at the post game. so yeah, i'm posting it, in the game i fall off the path of truth right as the platforms change to wood, i take the sewer level, i could have took the ship, but i wanted extra lives, i could have tried to do a challenge, but the thing is eighter it's too many platforms, or you placed a lot of custem sorcess things, making sounds of platforms, the challenge is impossible for me because at some point the platforms sound the same so i couldn't hear where am i jumping next. i went through the castle of lies and killed remnent for the first time. please look at the postgame. it's a freeking nightmare. why? listen to my recording and find out why. i don't have the link yet, i might post it today or tomorrow, the reason why not today is that i have something to do and i might forget it. well, i'm off for now. and please please, please look at the postgame. (fall off the path of truth and lost for the first time while i recorded a playthrough. what a grate day. smile.)

I will look into the postgame, but I must point out that the post game is made to be plaied after the true ending is completed.
Thus, it relies on a skill set that is mostly explained through the game play of the path of truth.

Hi, unfortunately, I am unable to download both play throws. Is there any way you can put them on Dropbox for easier download ability? Thanks a lot.

2016-10-19 15:41:52

I thought they're on Dropbox, the first certainly is. Why can't you download it?

2016-10-19 23:32:54 (edited by threeblacknoises 2016-10-20 02:46:53)

amerikranian, I checked your recording.
It seems the barior at position 222 is giving you problems.
Stand at position 121 and jump right.
You'll enter a corrupt sector and land on a platform.
If this is stil to hard, I'll fix it.

Hey all. I was wondering how do you get to some of the secrets in the stage. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you finished it yet?
I'm asking because your progress will give me an idea of how many secrets I can give away without spoiling anything for you.

Hey, are there any other multistage projects like this one around? I found some stages someone else made but the ones I downloaded were short and boring and one couldn't load properly. They're certainly not the kind of thing I could play again.

Also, is it possible you could share the step/landing sounds you used for your tiles in Remnant? They're really good and if I ever decide to mess around with custom stages I'll need something like that. smile
