Yeah Roro, those sounds are definitely nice. Thanks. Now if noone minds: questions about AAC (This topic is slowly changing to a topic of AAC):
Anyone have tips for fortress and inner fortress (if you wanna give ttips for Rusty's battle i'd appreciate it too). I kept losing lives in fortress because I land on spikes next to corrupt sectors, or I jump over a spike near the edge of a corrupt sector, but ended up falling into said sector. Gah! So frustrating! I guess everyone knows my problem in inner fortress, right? Those traps that either kill you or do lots of damage added to the fire and the teleporter... It's nearly impossible!
Another question relating to Rusty: will your health affect him in any ways? I want to upgrade my health but if that makes him stronger, then I definitely won't since he is already very strong. I also know upgrading attack would be useless against him. I plan to upgrade health so i won't keep losing lives in inner fortress (I know barriers kill you, but at least i would take less damage from delete rays and spikes, or at least, live longer). The second question of mine had been asked by me in the main topic of AAC, but noone answers it... If it helps, I now have 20 attack, 20 defence, 270 max health, and 240 lives.

@socheat you're welcome.
@Kenzen I don't know, I haven't played it from a while, I'm only now doing stages. But I guess I'll have to replay the game from its beginning.

This topic should move to general game discussion. and the topic subject should change to  aac discussion or aac spoiler topic...
lol

Hello Socheat,
I can easily change that, but I can't move the topic to general game discussion. It also doesn't help that the first 20 or so posts are about sounds in .dat format, which is the *original* main discussion for this topic... So now I don't know what to do. Heh.

No. only the moterators can move the topic. you can not move topic by yourself big_smile.
you can only change your topic subject if you're a starter of the topic.
lol

2014-07-27 06:17:50

@Socheat I know. I meant if the moderators moved this topic to general games discussion, it'll still have a lot of off-topic posts at the beginning (If you read posts 1 through 20-something you'll know what I mean). Since this topic is originally off-topic (since it is, at the beginning, a topic relating to sounds in .dat format), I don't think this move will ever happen. Regarding changing the subject of the topic, I might be able to change the subject to "Sounds in .dat format and discussions about AAC", but that's rather confusing so I don't know and don't think I will change the subject of this topic, unles something promts me to change it - maybe a suggestion would be nice? (again, it now changes to a topic of whether this topic should be moved or not LOL)

How did you know that?

Probably by experimenting or something LOL. Anyways thanks for the information though.

But in Treasure Mania 1, Bopit Ultimate, etc, they're in a .game format that I can't open.
And also I have something to you all: 1 day left before I remove the sounds.rar from my dropbox. Do you want me to let it for a longer time?

2014-07-29 01:29:14

true. the .lti and .gtn formats were only used in their older games. the exceptions being light cars and the unreleased "light battles", which used wavs and OGGs, respectively. the former however used an .lti file for the logo.

Has anyone heard of Dragon Unpacker? I heard that it is popular among certain groups. Unfortunately, it cannot extract everything. Still, it would be interesting if the programme could read the data of a sound file and do an internet search to find the best way to extract it.

I think it can extract very, very rarely.

I post sounds I record to freesound. Click here to visit my freesound page

Most sounds in audio games now are encrypted. That means nobody is going to be able to recover them without the proper encryption key, which only exists within the game itself. Unless there's a widely-available crack or something for obtaining a particular game's sounds, either because of sloppiness on the part of the developer or some hacker figuring it out, no amount of Internet research is going to help you.

Besides, said program isn't accessible anyway.
