Actually, I found a way to force it to use US English. First, modify eci.ini, and replace 1.1 with 1.0. Then, if you have the enu.syn file from another copy of eloquence, rename it to eng.syn. Then, you have US English!

And if you encounter an error saying you don't have permition to edit eci.ini, here's a registry hack that will allow you to take ownership of the file. http://www.howtogeek.com/wp-content/upl … ership.zip
It will add an item called "Take ownership" to your context menu.

WARNING! The version of Eloquence that Baum uses may not be free after all. I'm getting a message, at least on my system, that it is a trial version, and that I should buy a license. Can anyone confirm this?

Doesn't matter if it is or not, because you can always just download eloquence or voavoice sapi4 with no problems.

I am going to warn you of a watermark that seems to only affect some applications, but just be careful which ones you use it in. Simply, if this happens to you, switch to another voice. Apparently, what it's supposed to do is warn you that the synth is only intended to be used by the Vergo and Cobra products. So far, this has only appeared in windows Speech Properties, but every time I preview the voice, this warning is spoken. It seems to work in Nvda without problems, though, and I am able to use Radar Overseer SCotty as the voice. But for some reason it crashes after I arrow down from that voice, or press e which I believe to be eloquence.

I think it depends on what application you're using International TTS with. For example, some games are detected as non Cobra products, however, some TTS apps and NVDA are not. I'm not sure what it's using to detect non Cobra products, though.

I have an issue and a question. first with international tts when i installed it and sapi4 eloquence now my NVDA volume is very low. i even completely uninstalled and reinstalled NVDA and still NVDA volume is very low. do i have to turn it up in an app by app basis in windows10? also with international tts it is not letting eloquence show up as sapi5. does anyone know why and how i can fix this?

ok so i figured out the NVDA volume i had to open the volume voume mixer and turn it all the way up for NVDA. now my other issue is when i load things such as kitchens inc games it says eloquence sapi4 talking through international tts says this synthesizer is intended to be used with vergo and kobra only. how do i make it stop saying this?

It will show up as international tts, regardless of the synthesiser it is using.

to americandad2005, no international tts seems to be not a good idea because of the stupid watermark. we need a sapiBridge utility something that does the same thing as international tts, but is our own sapi4 to sapi5 bridge utility with no stupid watermark.

i found a person who codes utilities and makes tts apps. he said he would take a look and he will see if he can write a utility to make sapi4 voices show up and be used under sapi5. his website is www.code-it.com

hey just to let you all know I emailed nuance and baum and microsoft about making or including a free international tts to let sapi5 only apps see and use both sapi4 and sapi5 voices. so hopefully something will get done so the sapi4 voices can be used by more apps.

I found the chinese language module for l&h tts, as well as mexican spanish and another korean female voice.
I added them to the packige.

the guy does not have time to make a sapi bridge. and nuance also owns the copyright to the old eloquence 3.3. so since nuance does not have their hands on decTalk yet maybe someone could make the very good sounding decTalk the one found in the access32.nvda-addon into a sapi5 voice? `

I'm sorry about that josh. I'm just sick and tired of nuance's bullshit. All they want to do is make it difficult for consoomers to get their hands on vocalizer for sapi5. Noone seams to have the balls to pirate the shit out of eloquence for sapi5, either.
