Hi all,

I'm planning to exhibit some audio games for a couple of

hours at this years Classic Gaming Expo UK (CGE-UK). I'd like to get across

audio games to the visiting public, with some hands on games. I'd like the

games to be simple to grasp and ideally, to use a maximum of three controls.

Any retro themed suggestions?

Hello,

That topic is a bit difficult to me, because there are many good

games, which are simple.
I can recomend to you Crazy darts, which is very

very simple, and Dark Destroyer, which is need to be controlled by the left

and right arrows only.
For the Dark Destroyer,

well, i have some suggestions for this.
1, supershot,
a game where you

have to shoot objects coming at you from left, right and centre,

2,

pigeon panic
a little different from crazy darts but simmilar enough
3

accessable battleship
complecated maybe, but as it is easy to play with the

exact same principles as the board game i feel this is addiquat.
4 to round

it off i feel that a good adventure game is needed, superliam1 demo will

suffice.
as it uses many sounds, is a side scrollor and is an adventure

game i feel that this would be a good selection.
hope this helps

best

chillingham and grizzly gulch are kinda hard, but they only use 5 keys. the

arrow keys and space.

Though a lot of those suggestions are good I don't think they're simple

enough. Not if your showing games at a convention/conference. A lot of these

games you need to have headphones and a lot of people don't have the time

to learn sounds and stereo positioning. Grizly gulch is fine if you have

headphones but it takes a while to start with each person and there is a lot

you have to do before you get to see th fun part. Crazy darts gives you

something simple but it doesn't show a lot of cool stuff. I would suggest

some of Jim Kitchens games he has a windows bopit, casino game, baseball,

and others. Maybe egghunt? Dark destroyer is neat for its sound effects but

is a little more complicated than others.
Just thought I would throw in my

two cents I hope it helps
