Firstly:
http://www.blindbargains.com/bargains.php?m=12467
, visit that above link for reading changes, and to grab the download.
Secondly, I did say "sort of," because unless you are running Lolypop 5.0 or later, its not gonna benifit ya much... Especially if you are JB 4.2.2 and older.
Best to stick with Talkback 3.5.2:

, till the next big update comes out for "all!" devices.

Maybe I'm just being too picky, but I wish they'd fixed the alarm issue. Set an alarm and whenever your sliding round the hour/minute sliders it loops. Ah well, soon enough I guess.

Well, my talk back was updated yesterday to talk back version 4.1, it says it has fixed some bugs or whatever they call them, but I encounter an issue. The problem is, when I installed talk back, it's true that the speed of stopping the engine when reading an article was improved, but when you try to go back to Homescreen, it will keep reading that article, and it won't say that you're going to homescreen. that's what annoys me.
maybe I need to upgrade to Lollipop, but it's not so old; it's Kitkat version 4.4.2.
Hope they fix this

Google stated that this version was mainly for Android 5.1 devices. Not that there are many of them yet...
So, I have no idea.

The app is very useful and I downloaded it from http://www.apkpure.com. It's very easy, just input talkback in the search box and it will come out. Click download and wait for a while, you can use your tackback. And it is version4.2.0.

Is it just me, or is android becoming more popular for the blind?

Devin, fortunately android is becoming more accessible everyday, though I think there's lot of good job to be done.
In the latest talkback release, new accessibility features have been added, for instance, that option to dim the screen, or pause and resume talkback using both volume keys. I can also assume that the speed of Talkback in general has been improved.
That is a good thing for those who cannot afford something like iPhone, though I can't go and leave android forever. after the latest version of Talkback, I'm thinking of sticking with my Samsung device for at least some good other days. smile

As far as I know, Samsung has released android lollipop for galaxy s4, probably you have to wait. Also, make sure your wifi signal is good. +the talkback has been updated to all devices upper than android 4.1 I think.

An Accessibility Service that helps blind and vision-impaired users interact with their devices. You can now download Google TalkBack for Android 4.1.0 from http://www.iapkdata.com. Talkback adds spoken, audible, and vibration feedback to your device. It is a system application that was pre-installed on most devices and is updated when the accessibility service is improved.

Well, looks like post 5, 10, 12, 13, and 15 trying to spam the hole topic...
Nicely done!
A sneak peak.

Sadly, it seems that you are right. I don't know why so many folks should advertise their websites, after all, you can get the latest version of Talkback on playstore, no need to visit other websites. It's the post of android that has been updated more than any other, nonsensically, provided that you can find the necessary info on playstore and other mailing lists of android accessibility like eyes-free.
If there's something more interesting, please take the time to share it with audio games.net forum, otherwise don't bloody spam in here.

2016-02-10 09:39:23

Well, uh... I won't visit another sites that I don't know beside playstore and APK mirrors... they're my trusted site. And if you're asking me to go to your site, I'd say hell no.

2016-02-10 10:03:36

hahahahahahahaha smile

2016-02-10 15:22:07

Ok, enough... back to the topic. One thing I hate about talkback is sliding in the slider area. With ShinePlus, you just swipe up or down with one finger to adjust the values, and it also, while you're sliding, this app announces the values as well. so why talkback team doesn't make talkback user's life a bit more easier? when you're sliding, talkback doesn't announce anything. and it hard to slide as well.

2016-02-10 20:29:14

that, by definition, is a very difficult question.
I complained about some problems of talkback on another android mailing list, and the only response I got from some android fanatics was, "Dude, if you don't like this platform and its accessibility, go ahead and buy a fucking iPhone!".
how on the earth can you be satisfied with just only one good improvement per year. ShinePlus, on the other hand, is better, if you have the time to work with it a bit and figure out what it offers. To surf the web, I use a web browser called crocodile browser which suits my needs well enough. I recommend it to you.
Anyway, these are my very last days since in a very short time I'm expecting my iPhone 6 to arrive.
If you have any other question, I can help you as much as possible.
Cheers!

Well, I hate to bring this again, but I'd say, if the mods could check and review this topic a bit, that would be great. I won't report it. way too many.
