Anybody have a good SSH client for windows that works with jaws? I've tried puddy, win scp, and bitvise, but they all have issues with reading output, and with inconsistent behavior in the input buffer.

Freedom Scientific broke terminal support in JAWS a few versions ago. I have also heard that someone made some scripts to fix this, but I can't tell you any more than that as I no longer use JAWS myself.

Which terminal client did jaws work with? I tried my instalation of jaws 11 with putty, but that still doesn't work.

I use plink, a version of putty that has to be run from cmd. It can be downloaded from the same page as putty, and you start a session by typing "plink 127.0.0.1".

The only one i've had success with is using jaaws + SecureCRT + jaws scripts for Secure CRT. I've been able to use it successfully with vim, a text editor.

I just use Cygwin with OpenSSH. Works with no problems.

by the way what is this ssh clients what they do?

They are programs that are used to log into other computers remotely and use their command line interface. If you're familiar with the type of game called muds, then you can think of a ssh client like a mud client, except whereas mud clients log into a game server, ssh clients log into any type of computer, and can be used to execute any command on the other computer.

I would love a link to some JAWS scripts or some suggestions for this.
They're having us use TN3270+ at work. It's another one of these Putty-like clients. We're logging into a mainframe. But there's also some tabbing around to move the curser to different points to input text in order to change screens.
I don't know if that command line client interface would even work. Can you still access this mainframe with a different client? No idea.
I'm running Jaws 16 on Windows 7. As it stands, I can mostly read the output buffer with the Jaws PC cursor. But I'm getting no input at all.

I used these scripts with SecureCRT.
