dear gamers.
for the past couple of weeks i've been modding some of my

games.
i've gotten quite good at it and i  have modded the following

games
tarzan junior
supershot

pigeon panic
superliam demo

and

turned them into completely different games.
however due to the fact that

not every game file has a sounds section to swop aroundand that i've run

out of inspiration that i ask you this
what games other than those above

would you suggest i try and mod?
thx,
best regards

can

you give me a description of tarzan junior and super liam demo mods?
what

would be cool, but not possible, is do something like modding troopanum 2 to

grizzly gulch. for example you get money for the special items, and shoot

bank robbers. for the first bonus round, would be cool to do something like

you are in your police car, and must do something like stay away from other

cars to avoid collitions with them, etc.
it would be cool but troop2 isn't

using .wav files.

hi arjan,
well i can give you a description of them both, but, i can't

distribute the tj mod because i asked phillip benfall, and i am unable to

distribute it.
but i can tell you about it.
i have turned the tj demo into

treasure hunt junior (thj)
in level 1, you have to fight your way past the

guards and brutis's clones and jump onto platforms that take you across

brutis's defence pits,
collecting ammo and health packs as you go,
after

you have fought your way past all of these guards you are teleported (using

the original teleport sound from th) to the battle with brutis.
as this is

a mod of the level tiger fight where tigers came at you from three

directions it was simple to change the tiger sound to brutis's laugh.
so,

you plug away at brutis and then teleport back into the lab coridors and

fight your way past lazer pits, jumping onto platforms, killing the guards

that await you and then after all that you still get blown up, lol
and

superliam demo
i have altered the following sounds
lazer,
the various ow

sounds
the coconut drop
the robot trooper and dog
the object locator

sound,
the end teleport sound.
the robot biker
the sewer sound in

suburban streets
and having changed these i made the following story

up.
in this mod you as the alpha urchin must go into the urchin world, the

urchins have revolted and you with your trusty cannon must go into the

coridors and blow them all up.
sounds used
lazer- alpha urchin

cannon
coconut fall, yellow ship lazer from alien outback,
trooper sound

airbot laugh
dog sound, medic urchin laugh
medic urchin ouch
medic urchin

scream
the robot biker sound has been replaced with the airbot move

sound.
and that's the lot.
so, what games can i mod?

as

i said, troop2. also you could do something like dark destroyer modding into

gma tank commander or grizzly.

Hi,
I actually made a few mods for Super Liam myself.  I have the full

version.
First, I replaced the wimpy fan sound in the Water Works with a

more realistic fan sound.  Also, I've replaced the level sound for the

Silver Spaceship with the spaceship sound from Dark Destroyer.
I think

it's nifty and a bit weird that with lots of accessible games, you could

change the sound files and completely change the story behind the game!

Obviously you can't change the program itself, so you still gotta stick to

some rules set forth by the game's author, but you can turn one game into a

completely different game, well beyond the author's original

design.

yeah, i know what you mean,
i've modded all of the games that i have got

borred with and they're different.
for instance i have modded

supershot!
i have changed the title to bar-room brawl
which is like a more

easy and elaborate version of esp whoopass
i have replaced the two intros

of supershot with the intro to supershot, and one of the whoop

dialogues
you sure are an ugly bastard ...
and using sounds from grizzly

gulch, the gotcha sound of the bandit i have made it a game where you and

the openemy dance around the bar chucking bottles at each other,
and when

on the hard setting you run out of bottles, you place a coin on the table

and get another set to throw at your disgruntled friend
sounds used
the

intros from esp whoopass,
the coin sound from gg - shell game
the

alligator music from chillingham, the gotcha sound from gg,
the salloon

music from gg when on the menu,
the knock out sound when you are

defeated,
it's great fun.
would anyone like me to send it in?
as soon as

i've learned how that is,
best regards

Yeah I know that this thread is old but I was just brousing the net and

came on it. I believe the original modder asked what other games he could

mod. Well, TH is pretty easy to mod. Just yesterday I modded SOD 1.1, and I

have completely changed the sounds of TC17 and all it's weapon sounds. So,

try modding these games. The topic Decripting Sounds explains how to open

sounds in Sod and GTC, but replacing the sounds is a bit trickier. Firstly,

don't replace the actual content of the sound, because that will destroy

the program. Instead, lower the volume of the original sounds until they are

inaudible. Then you can mix the new sounds into the file. Now, a couple of

warnings. First of all, make sure that the replacement sound is sampled at

the same HZ. Secondly, some sounds are actually supposed to be played at

44000 HZ. Before you replace these sounds, make sure that the replacement

sound is sampled at the same rate, or the program will again be destroyed. I

was furious when I did all that work on GMATank Commander and did that

mistake and had to reinstall and remodify the sounds. Plus, the sounds you

want to replace are very hard to find thanks to the rather silly naming

system. Anyway, that's way too much from me, good luck. Regards, Locutus.

In

theory Lone Wolf from GMA shouldn't be hard to mod, but I might be wrong.

There are a couple of sound packs about, but if you changed it you could

turn it into a starship game or something.
