Well it's official. Ghost mode has gotten me three or four times, so we know it's not always just a matter of trying to scan a very large room. And once you get stuck in it there's seemingly no way out. I was going to preorder but I think I'll wait and see A. how long it is till people start getting their download links and B. if some of these bugs aren't ironed out before then. Personally I would have considered this more an Alpha or perhaps Beta test release, but then again I'm no expert on programming. I do like the game so far, both its atmosphere and concept, but I'd prefer it be less iffy if I'm going to fork over cash for it.

@@mr.brunete, i try to use the silver key at the door, but after i select it from my inventory, it says nothing happened. What should i do?

going in to the wilds, collecting pokedex, and capturing them are my kind of thing,
training them, making them evolve, and generally making them stronger is my ultimate goal,
fighting other manamon tamers, winning the tournament, and fighting octoros are what these manamons like to do,
and ultimately, I become the master of mana!

That would be because either you're probably not at the right door or you actually have to press Enter on the door to unlock it.

Hi all, I thought we were supposed to get an update today that fixed the saving issue. I really want to play this game, but it's hard to when were not able to save and come back to it. When I come back to it, I cannot access my inventory. It opens, but nothing is spoken.

get the silver key from Artemis, go back to the stairs, climb down, and in that hall, is the door to open with the silver key

As I said, you weren't at the right door. As for updates I have a feeling it'll come when we're least expecting it. I've pretty much learned that whenever Jyro gives a release time the best way to cope is add an indefinite length of time to that. As for me I'm seriously considering purchasing since the story and concepts are definitely interesting, but I'd much prefer to see some of these bugs fixed before I fork over any dough.

get the Apple from the table in the bedroom you start in, then, leave that room, and in the hallway, there is another door. inside that room, is the cabinet.

Hello everyone;

I sent gyro a email asking for  a refund since I feel that the game is too buggy to pay for at the moment.


Like I said in the email; I'm sure the game will be updated but, I would still like a refund if possible.


We waited quite a while for this game and I believed in gyro and still do, but; I feel that I should be able to get a refund since the games demo is buggy. Perhaps people shouldn't have pushed for release dates and perhaps gyro should have set a wider time for his game to be released in.


I'll hope that gyro reads my message and I am able to get a refund. If not, well perhaps I'll learn next time... Nah, I doubt it. smile

I'm gone for real :)

First of all, the ghost mode as well as journal and inventory loading issues have all been resolved now. I'm posting a new demo version. This newest demo version also has the window named correctly as well as additional objects and a secret. And yes, all future games will release by surprise suddenly. I sent you an email Fabi! Jyro, does "I'm posting" mean the demo is already uploaded and available at the same link as before, or that it's actually going to take a bit longer until we really see it, like the last time?

Brad: The only one who have pushed for any release dates are Jyro himself. If no release dates was given, then people wouldn't have kept asking about the status of the game.

Definitely, edge of Winter is the best game i've bought this year, yes, i love these kind of games, exploration, puzzle resolution, i love geting stuck and having to use my brain to finally continue, and geting stuck again until i finish the game. can't wait to get my download link and start playing!! yeah!

Yes cool. Indeed it's fixed. The site demo link has been replaced with the new one.
Click this New Direct Link to download it. The journal and inventory and map etc all work when loading a game now,
and there's additional objects and secret place to discover. Awesome, thank you!

Possible spoiler:
I think I found more of the ghost area. Jyro, I don't know if this is the new thing you're talking about, but a little bit off the bridge to the castle, there's a new area. It has a locked door, and I can't open it. After I found the door though, I can keep walking forever. There's no walls, no trees, no nothing. And, I can't get back to the bridge. Is this a bug?

Haven't discovered it yet, but there is something with one torch in the hallways. aparently, it has a lever, when you press enter on that torch, there is a sound, followed by several tones. i must'be opened something that i can't find....

Saving Works perfectly, but ghost mode is still there, but a lot less compared to the previous verssion.
