I didn't like the autowalk thing either - you can use shift and the
arrow keys to take single steps or change the keystrokes.ini entries which
is pretty easy. The sound is nicer though like Liam I was hoping for some
new gun sounds (since the current one is gross) but I do like the cleaning
up they have done on the old ones. The new weapon is interesting - sort of
like the bfg9000 from the original doom games but with more control. I
wonder now though if the game has been changed enough so that it's not too
easy if you get good at the biobombs. Speaking of balance I feel somehow
the game was made easier - contrary to what happened in the first patch.
This disappoints me (I'm playing on difficulty level 3). I do like the
elevetory thing - provides more continuity and makes the world seem more
real and have yet to experience level nine again. I was hoping for secret
levels but who knows (after all there is a file for a mysterious level 10 in
the directory). All in all I think it's a nice update but a little too
little for four years even though I know GMA has een working on other things
many of the conveniences are a result of the new engine (space bar to change
options, etc.)
P.S., Don't you think 0 would've been a better choice
for the new weapon instead of 'G?' I was quite confused.
