Another reason to upgrade my windows installation!
They are making their leap higher, man. We will be able to abandon putty and other parcial-accessible SSH clients, and work with our linux servers with windows' own command line!
please check out the source here from microsoft's blog:

Yes everyone: It's real and it's going to happen.

Hello,
For those who don't know, ssh is a bit like ftp, so this basically means you can connect and share things as well, and if you know someone who has an ssh server you will be able to connect directly using windows itself.

It's more like a command promptfor the remote machine, but we can go with ftp too.

This is not a signature.

SSH support... in Windows... Heh, well if they can pull it off that'll be nice, puTTY can have its own moods, sometimes working reasonably well and others, just crap with NVDA.

Yeah, I'm skeptical this will come off without a hitch. Microsoft is going in a strange direction and I'm not sure I like it much. We'll see, I guess.

hi,
on another note on windows 10.  Has microsoft included any new accessibility features that are worth mentioning.

Meh. Part of me is like yay, ssh support! The rest of me is going Oh... Dear... God!
Really not sure about this one.

Speaking of Chrome OS and SSH, , here is Google's "official" client:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta … cldabbghjo

I'll let ya know how well that goes.

As for SSH built-in to Windows? If Cygwin can do the job quite nicely on its own, plus having the Apt-Cyg script so ya can install packages via the command line, ...
More ways to eat Milky ways I Guess...

Update!

Not surprisingly, i found an even "better!" SSH client in the Chrome Web Store, which also works with Firefox/Seamonkey as well, called "FireSSH":

Now I don't know if you would want to try using Nano with it, though that'd be interesting to look at, but hey! Worth a shot...

(I should probably should have put tht info in the other SSH thread, but no worries.)
