So to anyone who knows about this. I have a folder of about 60 songs that I want to edit the ID 3 tags for so I can have them all as the same artist and album. Is there a program that can batch edit like this? I really don't want to have to edit for all 60 songs one at a time. lol

What I usually do is select all the tracks, then go to properties by pressing ALT+ENTER, then to the Summary Tab, then, I think it's either Simple or Advanced, then in the fields that say Artist or Album, I press F2 on those and edit them from there. I press OK and then the settings are saved. Note that this may take a few seconds depending on how many you have selected.

Interesting... didn't know you could do that straight from Windows Explorer. Thanks for the tip!

I recommend either mp3tag or foobar 2000.
Both of these are accessible, and let you edit the artist field.

I don't know why, but I've never had any luck with getting Mp3 Tag to work.
I want it to batch process a bunch of songs, and use a service like Discogs to place the tags in the files for me.
I've been told this can be done, but I've never been able to get it to work. I've tried using all the services that are offered, but it just puts me in the edit fields where I should enter the tags.
I have lots of tracks that I don't know the names of the artists, which is why this would be useful.

The glass is neither half empty nor half full. It's just holding half the amount it can potentially hold.
