hi, I have a Problem with instant translate. the keys for it don't work. when I press NVDA shift y, nothing happens. when I press NVDA shift t, I here a low beep and when I press another key, I here a higher, longer beep but nothing else. I'm using Version 3.0 of the add on.

I used to be a knee like you, then I took an adventurer in the arrow.

The interface is completely different, now.
You pres nvda+shift+t to activate the translator commands, then press another keystroke to execute one.
Try nvda+shift+t, then shift+t. I only ever use shift+t and t, but I forget which is which.

I wonder, why don't you use google translate if you use jaws, it's very accessible now, and not hard to use. I can do all the stuff I need there.

Alt tab/ctrl tab
Wait for focus to change
Enter text field
clear current contents (don't use ctrl+a if you're playing Bokurano Daibouken; that will skip whatever you're translating!)
paste
exit text field
find translation
alt tab/ctrl tab to return to subject
Repeat

Or, just press one or two keystrokes, depending on which version of the addon you have. Faster, much less of a headache, works especially well with games, don't need to worry about translate doing anything screwy with websites. Did I mention faster?

Yeah, well put... that and NVDA's Japanese support is much better than JAWS. I love having an addon that pulls information straight from google translate with one keystroke.

Hayri Tulumcu... could you please give an explanation of what this file does? I don't like downloading things without what they're supposed to do... telling me to go to input gestures doesn't help much.

you can asign commands in NVDA and the shift + NVDA + Y is there.
