I can

only think of one thing for Chillingham II that might be worth

investigating: vocal skip.
A lot of the time when you're traversing long

distances through which you've already traversed, you don't necessarily

want to hear every option and every description spoken out. Perhaps make

things in a list key-sensitive (say you have a leaf, book, rattle and

candle...c would select the candle and r the rattle, that sorta thing?) ...

Shortcuts, in other words.
Don't get me wrong in the least here. I don't

own either game but I've heard the demos available, and I love the sound of

Chillingham, in particular (so much so, in fact, that I believe I want to

obtain it for myself). I'm not trying to whine. I'm only saying that I, as

a gamer who likes RPG-esque adventure games but with some speed, would very

much appreciate increased functionality, if the menu system stays in

effect.
