It

seems that all of the good major audiogame companies are going away. First

adora, alchemy, now l-works. Could this mark the end of quality audiogames?

We have nothing good to look forward to ever again, at least not for like 5

years.

Take care, it's a desert out there.

agree. the only company who is at least doing something is pb-games. and i

know there are some games released like mudsplat or sonic zoom, but they're

not from the familiar companies (not to say that they're bad)

adora aren't in business anymore?
huh, maybe that's why i never get a

reply when i send an e-mail, lol.
but, there are some games coming up, like

pc's games new game sarah and the castle of witchcraft and wizardry.
and

some others to look forward to like chillingham2 when it comes out.
but, i

see what you mean, these are all just, coming outs, and there is nothing

particularly new around.

I

missed this when I posted my topic about Adora.

It seems there are a lot

of companies going down at present, meaning we probably won't have the same

level of choice we've had in the past. Unfortunate to say the least because

so far we've only had limitted choice anyway.

There's also too many

people going round bragging they're making a game and then never finishing

it. I intend to see if I can make a game, but I won't make any fuss until

I'm ayt the beta phase and nearly complete.

Hasn't anyone read the news at L-works? In a couple weeks from now, Bar

Games is coming out. I'm going to try it, but the one I I'm really looking

forward to SL II.
What do you all think?

The events of this past summer certainly cast a paul of gloom over

the accessible games industry. Having such a cruel twist of fate strike both

Adora Entertainment and Josh De Lioncort, one of our most promising rising

stars in addition to Liam's setback is certainly a series of bitter pills

to swallow. I still want to go ahead with our accessible games virtual

convention assuming there's enough willingness to help and interest in

attending such an event out there. My own game won't be ready for years and

this is the only major idea I've come up with to possibly turn the tide of

battle in the games industry.

Personally, I'm quite angry particularly

at Adora's being snatched away from Josh after all he did to set it up and

that so relatively few will have the chance to get Pinball Xtreme and some

of James North's amazing games. They've inspired me to take the road

through life which I've taken and have a lot to offer blind youth. Josh

deserves far better than he's likely to get from the gaming community. I

hope a lot of people contact Ivi and express interest in acquiring PBX such

as it is. The boy I'm helping would have loved those games as he got older,

but sadly only got Alien Outback before the plug was pulled. I wonder if Ivi

has any idea of what damage she's done.

Rather than just looking at the

closures, I think it's important that we face up to one of the realities of

our industry. It's driven by passion. It sounds simple enough, but the

rammifications of this haven't been dealt with by many gamers out there. I

think we're all aware that this isn't a billion dollar industry. People

aren't even making enough for a decent living producing these games we all

enjoy. Yet, we're ever so quick to treat them like ordinary businesses out

for profit and nothing else. Games are delayed and the delay is likely

doubled by the shere amount of complaints heaped upon the unfortunate

developer working in his/her spare time likely in addition to a fulltime

job. Once games have been released, the slightest problems quickly draw fire

down on at them. This community has got to grow up and start treating our

best developers with a lot more support and courtessy than they have in the

past or we'll keep losing good people and great games to our own greed and

short-sightedness.
