I've

been looking for the software development kit (SDK) for direct x 8.1.

Version 9 SDK will only work with newer versions of the programming tools,

and I have visual studio 6. Could anyone point me to this?

I already

contacted MS and they claim 8.1 SDK is no longer available, but I don't

know if there is anywhere else to get it from. I know the Visual studio 6

programs work reasonably with Jaws and am reluctant to upgrade, as well as

the costs involved for programming tools.
