Hello Sabrina,

WinFrotz plays games in ZCode, a format used by Infocom, Inc. for text adventure games (interactive fiction). You can find more ZCode games than you can play in one lifetime at:
http://www.ifarchive.org/
Enter the archive by clicking on the "Walk through here ..." link, then go to "games", and then to "zcode". WinFrotz will play all the .z5 and .z8 files you find there. Note that these are not Infocom games, but games developed with Inform, a development system for interactive fiction.

The games there are of varying quality. If you would like to read a review before you play, check out http://www.sparkynet.com/spag/.

Or, go to http://wurb.com/if/ for an excellent guide to the IF Archive.

If you're new to interactive fiction, I recommend playing the game "Dreamhold" by Andrew Plotkin. It was written and developed with beginners in mind.

Have fun,
EternalG

In the hands of a gamer, word becomes weapon, argument becomes shield, and life becomes a quest.

Indeed, dreamhold rocks. This site:

has a nice list ofrecommended games, complete with descriptions. Also, if you do want to play the original  infocom games, just check here:

Our souls with high music ringing; O men! It must ever be
That we dwell in our dreaming and singing, A little apart from ye. (Arthur O'Shaughnessy 1873.)
