Hello,
My website is www3.webng.com/bestband
And yes the 3 is important.

How do I redirect it to a different site for free.
Such as www.bestband555.com

Hi Andy:
have you tried www.google.com for this question?
And free urls like .com are not free.

Well there is a free site that gives out domains like yourname.com for free, but its really a pain. You have to fill out surveys and a lot of the time you don't get aproved especially if you're like me and don't want to give out your address, and you have to earn points and then they'll give you a domain. If you really want one you could do that. The site is www.domainlagoon.com, but if I were you, I'd try www.smartdots.com where you can get an address like bestband555.net.tc, or freedomain.co.nr for bestband555.co.nr. You don't have to do anything for those sites, just sign up and you can redirect it.

No I wanted to know how to redirect pages in html, for example to go to a site, click a link and redirect me to a site. Example:
I switch companies. When someone goes to the old site, redirect them to the new site.
Thank you.

AndySmith:
That is what I meant. The guys before thought you were talking about free web space, and they were discussing how free it is or not as the case may be.

The simplest way to do that is just to make a link, you should be able to make links if you made a site. If not then say I wanted a link to the FS site -
<a href="http://www.freedomscientific.com>Visit FS web site</a>
That is a link, as you said you wanted a link to click on. This is not a redirect which is when you visit a page and it automatically sends you on to the new page. I would favour the link myself since it lets you give a "We've moved" message.

Hi,
You said you wanted a shorter address, from what I understand. To do that go to www.smartdots.com.

Put this in between your <head></head> tags:

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;URL=http://www.newsite.com/" />

The "0" stands for the time it takes to go to the new site.

Good luck.

Thank you brian it worked! As for a short address I really dont care how short it is (ok ok I sorta do), but:
http://gamesforblind.freehostingnow.com/index.php
for the forums isn' t hard to remember. The main site:
http://gamesforblind.freehostingnow.com
brings you to a "thank you for registering if you can see this then you are... bla bla.
I can replace it though, which I will do later.
I love html now...
