Hi.

Is it possible to be alerted when recieving private messages? I find it frustrating that I sometimes miss these, because I don't get a message telling me that I've recieved any message, but maybe I haven't looked carefully enough.

I agree, not getting an alert when there is a pm is a pain in the kneck, but i actually can't find a setting for this in the administration options.

there was the option to put the pm inbox link back in the navigation bar, but no option to have alerts happen when you get new messages. I have no idea why this is, indeed I might have to ask sander sinse it's possible I could've just missed this feature or that it's got a less than obvious name.

I would use private messages more often if we got a message saying we've got a new private message, so it would be great if you would ask Sandra about it.

Ah, damn me and my poor spelling. I thought the person was called Sandra and not Sander. Sandra is a feemale name in Denmark, but I assume Sander is a male name in other countries. Lol. Just mentioning this to make fun of myself and my poor skill of noticing this before I write any answer. Hahaha.

Actually you do! have the name Sander, or rather in it's full form Alexander in Denmark, sinse there is a danish member of this forum called Alex.

While it is true in britain we have the names Alex, alexander and sandra but not Sander, I can certainly see where the name comes from, and it'd be a very boring world if everyone was called the same thing.

so Sander is definitely a him big_smile.

Hi,
Why not have pms be sent out to your email to make things easier? Then use a program like gmail notifier which plays a sound when you have an email.

But we may skip PM's link by pressing h, so we still might miss new messages. If it's possible, sending e-mail is best way.

Well, you can set mail notifications in your settings to be E-mailed, and that is a good idea I think Jack.

I remember getting a message back from like June of 2011, but I did not realize I had a message until I checked my inbox yesterday to see if I had a reply to a message. That is why I personally think the send forum E-mail works best, but I think it would be nice to have an alert option.
