I can
understand that robin24 but to say it over and over and over again it gets
rather annoying, so stop it. i hate to read the forum only to find that
there are lots of posts stating: i want my money back. this x company
doesn't exist. why isn't x coming out? why isn't x answering my emails
and bla bla bla. it goes on all the time. please, stop.
i
agree 100%. this stupid, idiotic, moronic complaining must stop. the game
will be released, when it is released. robbin24: the game is delayed! it has
not gone to plan! you should not have pri-ordered. i always wait til the
game's out before trying to order. just in case these things happen. and,
with alchemy, it has! and i think if ya get your money back, you will be
disappointed. the game might come out at that moment you get your money bak,
and you'll be like, "i want the game! all that money for a waist!"
so...
guys, stop! complaining! you! are! not! helping! anyone! if anything, you!
are! making! people! angry! and! cross!
reguards,
aaron!
Hi!
If you belife in the website, the game is already released. Well I
did... I didn't know that this company tells lies. I also wouldn't
pre-order games. I'm sorry that I repeated that I want my money back, but
that's the only thing i want. I just wanted to ask everyone here if you
have an idea how I could do that. If i would get my money and the game would
be released in the next day, so what??? I'm not interested in that
anymore!!!
Best regards,
Robin24.
the
mistake you did is, you pre-ordered sometimes it delays and you will have to
wait longer without your $x without no game
On
the website you can read that it isn't a pre-order and that the game is
shipping!
Oh
for the love of Bob please shut up! I'm sorry for my language but this is
really getting old! It's no wonder we've lost those developers that we
have. If I'm not mistaken BPC is no longer developing for exactly this
reason! That's assuming that what I heard is correct of course. I'll say
this one last time. Stop! complaining! or! we'll! lose! more! developers!
Even the ones that don't come on here (and is anybody else noticing that
fewer developers seem to come one here?) I'm sure can find out about thse
things. Word has a way of spreading. Too much more and we could lose
everyting. The audio game market is small enough as it is. Let's not
jeopardize it for the love of Bob!
ok. i
was a beta tester for bpc, but i am no longer. i was terminated 2 weeks
after my membership subscription. i remember why, but i will not say. i
tried asking munawar about cm ii and he says it's none of my buisness. i
did not say "have any new features been added?" i just said "has it gone a
long way since i have gone?" and he still says it's none of my buisness.
and now i think i know why.
this is a warning, philip is on msn and i can
send him text files of the forum! who knows, pb-games might stop developing
if they see this!
and, montezuma's revenge may look like it's released,
but it's not. i believe the websight, but on blindgamers (i am not
subscribed, but i know), he did say that a demo would be released, that was
ment to be done last week. oh well. it's not. well, i am pacient. i will
wait for james to release. i am sure he will do something about monty. and
yes, i agree.
stop!!!!!!!!!!! complaining!!!!! richard, i think you should
do something about these guys! this complaining is getting seriously out of
hand, and bleedin annoying, and god darn childish!
if i was a dalek i
would have exterminated the complainers. (except for mike... eventhough he
is sometimes annoying) mike has a irc network and luckily it has no
complaing of audiogames. and he's subscribed to blindgamers and he can
inform me if anything happens.
and guys, if i get news, i will let ya
know.
but for the complainers... i think a sort of "messaging" system
should be implimented, (i am sure you could modify the source code to pun bb
it's just a php script), where after the post reply link, there is "post to
users" and then when the user clicks on it there is a list of users, with
checkboxes. the ones you select will recieve the message, but the other
users will have no clue.
OK, that's my rant and suggestion over. sorry
for the extremely long post!!!!
mixed regards,
aaron.
Please
remember that web sites aren't always up to date. There are many things
which can get in the way, lack of time for one thing. Don't ever take
what's on a company's web site as gospel, so to speak.
yeah
richard, you should really take a measure of starting expelling those dam
complainers that have no life and spend there time here biching. I mean
,this isn't audio games.net ,I should say it's rather audio flames.net!
audio
flames? heh. that is a kinda funny name. but i agree a million percent,
stop.
I'm in
agreement as well. Again I'll say we're lucky, or at least the people
doing the complaining are lucky, because in other areas the people could
have been sued for slander. Saying that companies don't exist, or that the
company is a scam, is plain unacceptable behaviour and shows nothing but
ignorance. Anyone who has even the slightest measure of knowledge regarding
computers, even if just from looking at release dates for any type of
software, understands that problems can and do happen and that delays are
commonplace.
@cx2
I can only agree to your statement. Every time is there a chance,
that last minute problems can occur. Such problems can prevent a developer
from releasing a product on the annunced release date. I won't complain
about monti (I mean not to flame anyone9) but I have one question: In Montis
case, If the developer has a serious problem, why can't he make a statement
that tells "I am sorry, to say, that Monti will take some more time to
release". That would be understood from every gamer who waits of the game.
It seems to be true, that the website tells "the game is shipping", even if
that isn't the case.
To the Webmaster of this page: please delete these
dammen complaining and flaming posts and their creators as well!!!
By the
way: Does anyone know, what is with CM 2 from BPC Programs and danger city
as well as final conflict and the star wars game from usagames?
To all the
complainers: You aren't welcome here!!! Shut up and go there, where you
come from!!! You destroy the little market of audiogames that we have
here!!! What if Bacvisoft get such dammen messages?!!! I want Chillingham 2
and no message that says that Bavisoft doesn't exist anymore because of
your posts!!!
To all of you, who want a good game: wait some more time and
when it comes out, it will probably be one of the best games for the
Blind.
Bye,
Lord_Raven
But
ya know, theres only so many times a last minute problem can happen before
it starts to get strange.
as
for dc and cm II, they are no longer undere development because of these
complainers. um, well i don't think that was because of dc, but i know it
was for cm II.
For
Final Conflict check the latest Audyssey ohn the archive here. It says
they're doing a private beta, and plan to have a public beta prior to
release.
And even if it's suspicious or not delays are no excuse to say
companies are committing fraud, which is blatantly what has happened when
people claim the game doesn't exist. When you learn about software
development Mike I'll listen to your posts, until then you simply don't
know what you're talking about. Mainstream games have done this before, had
numbers of missed release dates in the double digits in fact. It would be
nice if they always told us what was happening, but they don't. There's no
requirement to tell us what's going on, after all it's their project. For
anyone who has preordered, tough. Try and get your money back if you want,
wait if you want, either way stop bothering us because you preordered an
item which by its very nature has a fluid release date.
Anybody who thinks Monty doesn't exist is just bonkers. We have the
manual for the game and a trailer. Nobody goes through that much trouble to
fool people into thinking a game exists. We're very close to seeing a demo.
James has a heeping lot on his plate at the moment. I'm extremely
frustrated with all the missed release dates as well. Playing a game like
Monty is a dream I've had for twenty years. I haven't been able to
concentrate much on my own game due to the nail-biting anticipation of
thinking the game's only a day away from being out only to have something
go wrong at the last minute. I can certainly sympathise with people who feel
impatient. However, a little more faith and patience will go a long way
here. Due to how things have worked out, even people who don't purchase
Monty will be getting a fantastic unlimited demo which will basically be a
free mini-game in itself.
As a new developer and old gamer, I've
certainly looked up to James North's acomplishments over the years. His one
area of weakness is in communications. Keeping people on the edge of their
seets about a game's release and promising release dates which are then
missed is very damaging to people's faith and patience. In his case, he's
facing some unusual circumstances. He certainly didn't want this to happen.
He could have soared back into the gaming community had he met his
pre-year's end deadline. As things are, even after Monty comes out, his
victory will be hollowed by the lack of trust he's unfortunately produced.
It's going to take me years to create my first game. Family issues and
other things are going to get in my way. There are lots of other concerns I
have in life. However, I can promise that nobody will be left dangling by a
thin thread of excitement thinking I'm about to release a game. I may even
wait until somebody finds out by accident that the game's ready to be
purchased and downloaded before making my announcement. Waiting for Monty
and seeing a good man get crucified has been a kind of torture for me. I
still have absolute faith that James will ultimately win through and we'll
have a taste of true game greatness. Hang in there, people.
Well
said Michael. I look forward to whatever titles you bring into the market.
Goodness knows we need knew ones.
Here at Bavisoft we have received complaints from people who want to know a
release date. We do not provide one for the very reasons we are
experiencing. rest assured, Bavisoft still exists and we are in the middle
of developing Chillingham 2.
We have many other ideas too but hesitate
to leak any information so we do not cause any undue frustration by those
awaiting the ideas to manifest themselves into playable games. Most ideas
never make beyond the concept stage, even less make it into any form of a
program, and only the ones we release ever get the sounds recorded.
We
thank all of you who have supported Bavisoft in the past and hope you will
continue to do so in the future. We understand that our games are not
everyone's cup of tea, but not every game, or even genre of games will
please everyone. If our games do not meet your fancy, we hope that one of
the other games available will be enjoyable to you. Happy gaming.
and
ya know, we can always look forward to top sppeed 2, which i am really
looking forward to. this means we probably have another game to play shortly
if everything is going well with the game, i guess.
When
developers are getting complaints about delays, not in forums but in their
inbox, this is when things have gone *way* too far. (as if they hadn't
already)
A game being delayed is *not* a reason to harass, pester and
generally annoy developers. The simple answers would be:
1) Never, ever
preorder
2) Offer the developers the same respect and courtesy you would
expect from them, since these are individuals and not companies
3) Have
some bloody patience! Sorry for the language, but this is getting
ridiculous.
4) Don't ask developers when, it's for them to tell us not
the other way around. You don't like the way the market works, tough. If
you want things to work differently try making your own games using your
principles, but remember if you complain about other developers and then
start developing yourself you might draw criticisms for the exact same
things and for using whatever practices you use.
Here's the situations
that can happen:
Company is transparent about possible release
dates:
People complain when the game is delayed, even though the dates are
only provisional.
Company says nothing about release dates:
People
complain that the game will never be released, or doesn't exist
What are
developers supposed to do? They get flak either way, it's a no win
situation. The only solution is to stop whittering, for heaven's sake
please, please stop whittering. You're killing the enthusiasm of
developers, and you're killing my enthusiasm as a gamer.
Now please lets
not talk any more about release dates here.
Apparently they are coming out with a demo today (though they said Tuesday
but the email was sent around 10:00 tuesday night Ca time) so I guess he
meant Wednesday. The price will be lowered to $38.95 or something like that
for three days.
the
price of what: montezuma's revenge or top speed 2? i did not know that top
speed 2 was priced, so i think it's montezuma's revenge they are talking
about.
Yep
it's monty i guess. topspeed II is going to be free, as far as i know, it
said on the webstie. um, i mean website.
hi. well, no demo, sigh. told ya he fake and got no games, and don't
give us all the these things happens crap, he posted to his own dam list out
wednesday, this is getting rediculous. i think, we shoudl all move on from
james. he a glutton for punishment, which means, he bring all this shit on
himself. check the site, still, no demo, still as fake and boring as ever, i
know i ranting but i knew it wouldn't come out, and i do feel sorry for
people, good people like michael, yeah man out today cant wait, only to have
hopes shattered again at last minute
If it was out on time i'd be praising
him but oh no it the same old crap ...
regards, will
