So wait, you're generating keys even before the game is released? Weird.

Of course, because the registration system is ready, and I'd not want the buyer to feel like he put his money into nothing. smile I'll write more info on the game now.

Yep! smile That's what we've currently got set. It may even come before that date, but unless something drastic happens, it won't come after.

Hi.
Awesome to hear that the game is coming. I look forward to give the demo a try.
Is there any replayability when having beaten the game? Any unlockables or achievements to get?
I hate to ask this, but I feel I have to, before someone else ask, in a more harsh way:
Many of your previous games and projects has been dropped. Now that this is a payed game, how would the customers know the game is not being dropped a half year after its release, and then being offered as abandoned freeware? I know you can't expect any future updates unless you are being told so when buying a game which is fair in my opinion. But when looking back at the previous projects you have made, I fear the possibility of the project being dropped, and then the full version is going to be released as freeware.
I'm not trying to start a flamewar. That's the last thing I wanna do...

Best regards SLJ.

Happy gaming... :D

Hi SLJ,

I don't typically release a shareware product as freeware after some time, that would be ripping off the people who bought the game of course. smile TombHunter will receive updates as needed.

hi, I'd love some sort of replayability to this. Not just play the game once and be done with it, but there could be a few things done. For example you could add difficulty levels that didn't just increase the damage and health of enemies, but also changed the levels for harder scinarios. Achievements are also a good idea.

Bar, bar, bar...
Bar is my name and to go bar is my aim...
Sometimes I'll go "Bad bar",
But in the end its always bar, ahem beer, ahem bar! beer bar!

I am going to wait until I can play a demo. I hope this comes to fruition! I love this style of game and was disappointed Thomas Ward never officially released any of his various versions of the game.

Chris, Agreed. smile

Connor, will definitely look into something like this. It may not be in version 1.0, but for sure it'll be in a later version. smile

Nice walkthroughs mason. I was just wondering if some of those things from the readme are in another level? I haven't seen some yet, like spikes and doors.
Also, I was wondering what that thing is in level, uh, is it 10 with the leopards where the rope with the bolder on it. I don't get what happened there. How do you avoid getting hit?

signature? Ok here goes:
WOTD is experiencing bug fixes. To be released once they are squashed and spray lovely technology everywhere. Um, that made no sense.

Yep, they have been implemented in higher levels! smile

As a couple others have indicated, I would really like some information about the replayability of the game. Are there difficulty levels? Are there random placement of items, monsters or traps? What incentive is there to play the game again after beating it?

Thumbs up

22

Hi,

As of right now, it does not. However, that could change before release. smile

This does sound cool, but then side scrollers are one of my favorite genres, especially when they involve more than just going left to right or right to left killing enemies and jumping over the odd pit or other trap. Give me ladders, stairs and doors and all that good stuff. Even side scrollers in the old Nintendo days could have quite a lot of meat to them.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

24

I can promise that TH is not like that. smile

@28 this is not the same dev who made the gate. Aaron Baker made that, this is Mason from dark flier with tomb hunter, and from what I know of it, it'll be a great game.
