sa11ytaire is a version of Solitaire designed for accessibility, which you can find [here] on the microsoft store for free for Windows 10. You can find the developers main site [here], as mentioned there looking for feedback on how the non-visual support is. Here's the description:

A Solitaire card game built with everyone in mind. Play the game using mouse, touch, keyboard, eye control, Windows Speech Recognition, the Narrator screen reader, or a switch device. Let us know how we can make the game more efficient for you.

What’s new in this version:

Keyboard shortcuts for this release:
F1: Show help content.
F2, F3, F4: Have Narrator announce details of different areas in the app.
F5: Restart the game.
F6: Move keyboard focus to the next area in the app.
F7: Get a hint on moves available in the dealt card lists.
F10: Toggle switch scan mode. Currently the app responds to a switch device emulating a press of the Spacebar.

Note that in some cases, a press of the Tab key is required before the app responds to a Function key press.

Hi.
wow, thanks for sharing. This is the first time I hear about this game. I wander if it's out for the XBox One as well and if it supports Narrator? Time to check this later on.

Best regards SLJ.
Feel free to contact me privately if you have something in mind. If you do so, then please send me a mail instead of using the private message on the forum, since I don't check those very often.

@2 sorry, I thought that all of the necessary information was in the title of the post already!

It's a blind accessible version of solitaire that they're looking for feedback on, it's not just standard windows solitaire with some screenreader accessibility bolted on, it's a separate version optimised for blind play (and also for accessibility for other kinds of impairments too)

Hi,
@Ian it kind of is, however the trouble is with NVDA at least, i have to click the tweet link, which braught up Brice's tweet, that's fine. Then I found the http leading to msdn, however it wasn't a link. Tried copy and pasting, said page not found because it ended on a dot dot dot (...). Turned out I had to click the http to msdn and when I did, it braught up yet another dialogue with the original tweet, all the likes, and I had to go above all the people that had liked it, and then, finally, the actual msdn link showed up and I could click it like a conventional link and go to the right place. For a while there I was worried I wouldn't be able to read this article.

Oh I see what you mean, so the problem was more linking to a start of a thread with some unintuitive navigation on the sites that sit between, rather than directly to the place to leave the feedback?

2018-06-21 19:15:31

On top of that, I have to wonder exactly how many people even know what sa11ytaire is. I didn't. And when I came into the thread and saw only a link with no further information, I moved on to the next thread. Had the thread title said accessible solitaire, or your message had more information, I might have been inclined to look deeper.

@6
Personally I had no issues myself, other than the fact that the site itself doesn't link to the app (kind of interesting that they don't seem to).  Just head to the win10 store and download the app, found by just typing the title in.

Hi.
I dont know the rulers yet but I see that this game is accessible with nvda

Nice, MS like to try to force peeps to use Narrator, which I"m not into. Narrator is getting better, but I haven't spent the time to get to know it like I know NVDA.

I think that the most blind-accessible solitaire software is GMA's solitaire, which has the most intuitive set of keyboard shortcuts to utilise the game. I would like to provide suggestion to the developers at Microsoft about them to consider implementing a similar mechanism on their own solitaire app but am lacking the ability of putting this idea in words in the English language...
