I was hit by a fit of nostalgia last weekend and decided I wanted to whack a golf ball around. So I went to what was the kitchensinc.net homepage to find that his sister was no longer maintaining it and it was gone, which lead me to a search to find the archives wherever I could if they were still to be found.  I tried downloading several versions including the ones hosted here and my avast kept pitching a fit, telling me one of the files within the archive, uninyaht.bat, was infected with some kind of malware, BV:Malware-gen.  Anyone else having this trouble?

Drum, when Jim first passed I grabbed a copy of his site and even at that time my Avast flagged a few of his files.  They may be false positives, but you're not alone.

May well be, but I'd like to be sure of course.  Malwarebytes found nothing nasty in either file.  I keep my malwarebytes definitions updated though for accessibility reasons I'm running 1.75 rather than 2.0 or whatever the latest version is.

Where are those archives anyway?

But wait, what's that? A transport! Saved am I! Hark, over here! Hey nonny non, please help!

Hi,
All uninyaht does is remove the files related to the yahtzee game, so I am wondering why antiviruses are flagging it.

Here for one big installer and This one has what looks like at least a partial mirror of Jim's original site and finally This one seems to have several different ways to download the games so these are three working links I've found.

Most batch files are usually flagged as false positives, also depends on if the batch is compiled or not.

I'm sure there are a few archives of Jim Kitchen's work, but here is the one I have.  It's just a direct clone of the website he had at the time.

do not use avast it is a crap no ativirus

That's actually true, indeed MS and Avast have found that it can be death to some windows 10 installations, so is not allowing Windows 10 and avast to exist on the same installation for a while now while they go and fix that.
