So now that there are some players on this game that aren't Chinese, I've been asked as the only bilingual player to record a demo or audio guide. This game is massive and will take a while. Part 1, which covers only introducing the game and menu-related things, takes almost an hour... thogh the fact that I'm recording this early in the morning may have something to do with that. IF there is interest, I will record future parts covering skills, combat, etc. But again, only if there is interest... there are other resources, such as the skype group:
https://join.skype.com/KoM5x7eGx1xV

Any questions or requests for specific things that people want to be demonstrated, please post here... it would be fantastic to build a more substancial western playerbase!

Hi.
Thanks a ton for putting all the files together. This is the first time I try to get a Chinese game to work, and I have got q translate and the game up and running.
I find the clipread function which automatically reads the clipboard very annoying. How do I turn this off again after having installed it?
I'm currently stuck, waiting for my verification code for my account to arrive. I have waited for 30 minutes, tried to request it using the link on the website and tried to create my account again. I don't have any spamfilter, and the spamfilter is not enabled on my email provider.
It would be a shame if the verification system should stop me from playing. I don't speak Chinese at all, so I can't contact the company behind the game, unless they speak English. Well, I'll wait some more and see if I get my verification mail.

Best regards SLJ.

The verification code should come no problem.. as soon as you click the link to receive the code you have 5 minutes to enter it.. and the clipread function? I don't know what you mean... if you mean clipreader, you'll want it to automatically read things to you, otherwise translation will be a pain..

But, I don't receive any verification code on my mail. Not even after one hour. So I can't complete my registration.
After I have installed Clipread, NVDA reads what's copied to the clipboard when pressing ctrl c. Also when the game is not running. If I press ctrl c on a file, the path is read. I simply want this feature desabled again. When I press ctrl c in the Chinese game, the Chinese characters are read. I don't see how that should be helpful, when I have to press the q translate shortcut key to translate the text afterwards. Or am I doing something wrong?

Best regards SLJ.

If clipreader isn't enabled, you will not get q-translate's results read automatically... which is the point. When you translate using the shortcut, q-translate will automatically copy text to the clipboard, which requires clipreader to read automatically. As regards to the verification code, I'm not sure how I can help you with that one. I've never had issues... the most I've ever had to try was three times. It always came within 5 minutes of clicking the link.

Sorry folks! I thought I had my audio set up correctly for the second part of the demo but apparently I didn't. So we'll be missing a bit of progression... there will have been some upgrading and levelling done of screen when part 2 comes up. So don't be surprised if you see a bit of a jump in character. However, I will try and cover everything again... i you have questions or thoughts that you might want me to addres, now's the time to post them here!

Hi.
Okay. I got the point regarding to Clipreader. I'm sorry for the confusion. It would just be nice to desable it when I don't play the game.
Regarding the verification code: I have still not received it. I think it's a bit extreme to create a GMail just to play the game.

Hi Assault,

Thank you so much for this part! I am still comfused about the translation as it's really, really broken so understanding the story isn't easy.
I like how the battle system works but I still don't understand a lot of it's aspects like why sometimes my character and pet are attacking without my controll. I hope you will clear everything out in the next part as it's really interesting game.

Hey Lirin!
The battle has actually two modes. The first one is the manual mode where you can select skills and stuff, but if you press down arrow in the skills menu you will switch to auto mode, where the computer controls your characters.

I covered the battle system in the second part... unfortunately that was the part that broke. lol I will hopefully have it up in the next couple days! And SLJ, you can disable it when you aren't playing the game.. there is a system try icon for the script and you can disable it from there by right clicking.

Hi.
So I have created a GMail to give the game a try, but I'm still having issues.
I only receive the verification mail by clicking the link, which let me activate the account in five minutes.
There are multiple numbers in the mail. However, I don't know if it's some of the characters which are read as numbers when using the english speech.
I enter one of the numbers, and I get the dialog which have the close button. But, I'm not able to sign in. When I try, the game try to log in by showing the login button is not clickable. Then, a minute after, I can try to log in once again with the same result.
I have tried this with different numbers for more than one hour, vut I keep going in circles. The website doesn't give me any errors which I'm able to translate, and the same goes for the game. I have no idea on what I'm doing wrong, and I don't know what to do. I just don't get why there are multiple numbers in the mail I receive.
Edit:
I finally got it. I read the mail more carefully, and noticed some of the characters are mentioned as numbers when using the english speech. That confused me a lot. I have now finally registered my character... big_smile

Best regards SLJ.

Hi.
I have spent some time with the game and enjoy it a lot.
I have completed the awaken quest, done some battles and done 5 daily quests.
I think I'll prefer the automatic battles because of the count down when navigating the manual battle menu. That's simply not enough time for me to check what's available when I also have to translate it all. I also find it difficult to read the battles and know what's going on. Where do I read my hitpoints? I don't see it in the characters menu.
Regarding quests: I'm not sure on where to go next after having completed the awaking quest. I have got a quest in the mountains which requires level 30 and I'm only level 6.
The game is very interesting and there is so much to check out.
It would be nice if there is a generel chat so I can chat with the other players, if they speak english. I have no idea on how many players are online, accept for those who runs around me.
I look forward to play the game some more.

Best regards SLJ.

The autobattle mechanic will not work well later on... better to learn the menu so you can navigate it fast even without translation.

clement as you speak the chinese language as your mother tongue, could you not translate this in to english? or, can we use the google engine as we can japanese for shadow rine? looking forward hearing part 2 of your demo

I've already explained, both in the demo and in this topic, that the current method is using translation software... and no, I could not translate this game, not by myself. The developer has no interest in a translation project, and as this is an nline game new things would be added and removed all the time making it even harder to translate.

I started playing last night and did a bunch of the main quest. I need to sit down and kinda learn how battle works a bit better, but honestly translation has gotten a lot better from when I used to use it to play things like ROTK. It's probably worth noting that you'll want to go through and turn off all the other translation services in Q translate and just have google. Whatever it was pulling translation from at first wasn't amazing and for the first like half an hour I was super confused. Google is good enough to where you can generally figure out what it's saying. Also I'd definitely suggest installing soft cat. With practice you'll probably learn to pick out certain chinese words here or there which can help with navigation. If anyone wants to team up on there I'm James. There's also a western clan which seriously needs more people to help out doing bounty missions so we can pay to keep it going. That being said you have to be level 30 before you can do those. I still know very little about the game, but with time we'll learn. There's also the skype group if that's your thing too. Remember, exploration is always good too! I wish I could play the Android version too, but I'm still happy as shit to be able to play this.

hi all, fair enough re the fact that things change. can the text be auto-coppied and translated as it can in the jgt add-on or is it all a manual process? also, when we hear the chinese voiced dialogue is this text too that can be translated to help us know how the story is progressing? i know the tutorial in the game does not let us do this but what about from then on?
